That morning, Podkin’s mother got a message whilst they were eating breakfast. The letter was from the Gorm [wolves] and it said we are coming for you!.

So, the pack of foxes went to hide where the Gorm couldn’t find them. Before she left, Podkin’s mum gave him a map of ancient history and sent them to Calm Lake.

They set off for Wolfe City. They walked for miles and Paz followed Podkin with Pook on her back. By the time he was asleep, they were in Wolfe City, luckily.
