They were sound asleep.

That early morning Sir Richard Robin flew in and told them that an army of Snoxes were on their way. By noon Melody Medows would be empty. Everybody who had enough time to escape would surely make it out alive but, with large masses of rabbits they would all be seen.

Melody Medows was covered in towering, brittle trees and was supported by fluffy green grass under a barrel of dirt. Newly constructed passages and miniature railways couldn’t hold many. As steps grew closer the meadow was crumbling leaving no entrance or exit to the railways and trenches. The paper grass was viciously, finely chopped by the razor-sharp claws of the snox every rabbit in hiding was revealed.

Sparrow, Hollow and little Inadu were given a sack with a week’s worth of food by their parents. In the sack their mother placed a map from Melody Medows to Darkness dive to go seek aid from the Guardian hares of the waterfall. Then they were slyly pushed in a secret railway with tears in their small eyes. Sparrow kept watch and Hollow was taking care of their little sister. Approximately 10 miles away from Melody Medows the two in the back fell asleep with Sparrow still on guard. After 50 miles night had fallen. Inadu had woken up and was complaining. Ignoring the cries, Hollow and Sparrow took lead with Inadu in a basket and they carried her along. Sparrow stopped at a naked bush and decided that it was going to be where they laid to rest. With Inadu tucked away safely in a basket. They were sound asleep.
