The Emporium That Was Never There!

The Emporium That Was Never There!

Chapter 3 continued:

Before she knew it, something hurtled towards her. It grabbed her leg it’s grip was cold and clammy it’s nails digging into her skin.It was trying to pull her into the shipwreck and she only had one more minute of oxygen left. Suddenly a hand plunged into the water and grabbed her pulling Ava back up to the surface. As she collapsed on the warm sand any sense of direction left her as she fell into a deep, deep slumber.

As Ava’s eyes fluttered open she saw the angry face of Lenacy Shadow looming above her:

“I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NOT TO TOUCH MY BOOK!”

Chapter 4 – A twitch at the back of her mind.

“I-I I only wanted to- ” Ava began but Lenacy Shadow cut across her.

“I only wanted to have a go at writing in the book,” continued Lenacy “ That I understand but you should never, ever write about something where people have passed on from. What I have just saved you from was a weresoul. People who have passed on that end up trapped in the Emporium.” Ava stared at him blankly as if he was explaining to her the one plus one is eleven. Lenacy sighed.

“Come on, I will walk you to the exit.”

                        * * *

As Ava and Lenacy Shadow walked to the exit Lenacy stopped and turned to his desk where his book still lay open on the page of Ava’s wonder and tore out the page! “What are you doing! I worked hard on that and if you didn’t notice I also had to remake your curtain as it burst into pieces!” Ava roared at him. Lenacy shook his head sadly and tossed it into the fire.
“NO!” Ava cried as she watched it crumple turn to ash in the flickering fire. Ava rushed to the book scribbled in another wonder: ran through the curtain to where the new door lay; pulled out the page and threw the book into the door; ran back into the entrance and through the page into the fire! Ava stared at Lenacy who just grinned.

“Thank you for setting me free.” as he disappeared in wisps of smoke and stars. The Emporium vanished around Ava. She stared horror struck at what she had just done. Tears spilled from her eyes as she ran home. As she burst through the door to her room on the first floor.

When she eventually stopped crying she wondered why she was crying. She felt like there was something she was forgetting. But it only felt like twitch at the back of her mind.

    1. This is absolutely incredible, when I read this piece all I wanted to do was read more is was so good. I love the power of three sentence.
    2. Have you done pieces of writing like this before?
    3. To make this even better you try and describe the anger on Lenacy Shadow’s face because it would be really affective.
    I love this keep ut the great work.
