The lost city

Chapter one: Journey begins

Lily picked Emma up and put her on her back. They had to escape the SCARS or they would be dragon food. They dashed through the forest and turned a corner to rest in a cave. Emma shrieked as Lily placed her down on the concrete ground. “Ouch my leg!!! Careful lily!!!” She yelled, pulling her leg away and examining the cut she had on her knee. Lily rummaged through her rucksack and found some bandages that she could put on Emma’s knee. “Hold still Emma!” She would demand every time Emma flinched. Both girls gasped. They could hear the SCARS coming after them. Lily grabbed Emma and put her in an old wagon that they found in the corner of the cave. She put their bags in and pushed the wagon. Once the wagon started going she hopped in and made herself comfy. She grabbed hold of the wagon’s handle and twisted it so that the wagon changed direction and curved through the leafless trees. Emma unzipped her bag to find a billion water balloons. One by one she threw them at the SCAR soldiers. Some fell, some cursed her and some dodged them. She had got half of their team on the floor burning with pain. Even though some were on the floor injured the team did not stop. They sent twice as many soldiers on motorbikes. They did not fail to catch up to the two frightened girls who desperately tried to lose them. Every corner they turned , hoping the SCARS would stumble and fall , they only went faster. They were out of water balloons, they were out of cunning tricks and they were out of hope. Then Lily realised the only way out of this forest was their secret underground hide-out. She pulled the wagon handle with all her might and they even heard a small crack. Thank goodness the hide-out was nearby. They grabbed their rucksacks and rushed  inside the hideout. The scars would easily find them in here which is why they had a trapdoor to lead them underground. Emma limped towards the book shelf and pulled the “MAGIC SPELL” book. Suddenly the ground where Lily was standing gave away and she fell but she did not fall and die instead she slid down a massive neon blue slide. Although Emma’s leg was severely injured she was still able to hop on the slide and enjoy the ride down. Once they were down the slide Lily pressed a bright red button which caused the book to go back to its original position and the trap door slid across the floor and locked in place as if it never moved in the first place.

Chapter 2: Lost

They heard a SCAR soldier celebrate his success as he thought he found them but once he walked in he was utterly baffled. “I don’t understand where they could have gone?” He explained to his commander whose identity was yet to be discovered.
