Chapter 1: The leaving
Finally, they were ready to leave.
At the dead of night, a message came from Mr MIinerva, a distant relative saying that the Phantom troupe was on their way to Gracefield. Everyone would die. Many years ago, the Phantom troupe would take fox’s for very dangerous experiments that would lead to their death. Soon after, we built a wall so that they could not pass through but that wall was weakening and bits of rock were falling bit by bit. The Phantom troupe would be able to easily break down.
There were 3 fox’s. Maya, Marling and mini Mia. Their journey would be harder than expected. They would have to pass through Deadly Mountains, Blood River, then climb over The Wall and finally cross Black Sea to reach the most extraordinary, most exquisite of lands, Light-Greya Woods. A land that judges people by how flawless your soul is. The Phantom troupe wouldn’t have a chance to get through because their soul is rotten, disgusting and cursed! Once they get there, there would be no worries. Some are taking different ways because they believe that’s the right way but Maya, Marlin and Mia are going the dangerous but correct way. Mr Minerva lived in Gracefield a long time ago but had to escape because of the troupe. He left a clue on where he was and no one would have guessed. It was a pen. A pen? Why? When you open it, it will give you a small map on where Light-Greya Woods are and where he was. That was the path they are taking.
Tightly holding the pen, they struggled passing through tight spaces and climbing mountains. They aren’t even close to their first destination, Mr Minerva’s place. Nervously, Maya led them, seeming brave while holding little Mia’s hand. Every second of the journey, She could imagine the Phantom troupe slaughtering innocent people and darkness coming their way.
Behind Maya and Mia was Marlin. He promised Maya that he will always look out for danger behind them. Marlin was a very bold and confident person and still had hope. When sunlight came through, Marling asked Maya if they could build a hut. There weren’t many things but they used stones they found and snow to disguise themselves. Shocked that they finished quickly. Maya, Mia and Marlin settled in. Also looking for a cave on the mountains would have taken long because 1, It was very cold and the lower ground they are on, the warmer they are, 2, It would have taken quite long to find a cave and 3, it would have been the most obvious place to look. Mia wouldn’t stop complaining about how it smelt like **** everywhere.
That day, they didn’t eat much food because they needed to ration their food. They ate 1 sandwich, half a bottle of water and split one apple. Surprising Maya that they didn’t need more food, she gave a warm smile to them. They made a fire to warm up and talked for a bit. They even thought about looking for food because they were in need of some. It became night really fast. They all drifted off to sleep while Maya was checking the coast was clear so that they wouldn’t be taken while they were sleeping.
As Maya fell into a deep slumber, the wind flowed across her face. Smash clank band was all she could hear and think of. The royal blue uniform with tears of despair and sadness of the fox’s that had to be taken away. All hope was lost. Maya didn’t want that to happen to them, especially her siblings. Will they be able to reach the purest and safest of lands, Light-Greya Woods?
