Fiki Four-Tail by Oliver

Fiki Four-Tail

Finally, they were ready to leave. That dull morning, someone had spotted the Brone on our side of Rushmore River and they were headed towards Feline Forest; everyone was terrified. The treehouses were built a decade ago and they were too unstable to survive an attack from the Brone. Feline Forest’s barriers were to weak and timeworn to withstand an ambush. As a result, the two little tabbies: Fiki (who was born with four tails) and Fo, left home on a quest to find safety.

Their journey would take at least a fortnight but first they would have to pass through Minimouse Burrows and get past Buni Bay’s walls until they got to the seashore. Even the Brone could not get through the walls of Buni Bay, constructed by rabbits with tough metal and wood so long ago that they had passed into the old storied that only the Wordsmiths now knew.

Once the cats arrive at their destination, they need to get in a boat and sail to the safe place. The forbidden forest – which in my opinion doesn’t sound very safe. Fiki and Fo’s mother (who was too sick to travel with them) had given them a magical dagger that could rewind time, giving them a second chance, with the push of a button. It was in the secret compartment behind mother’s picture, hidden from plain sight so it doesn’t get stolen. With the dagger grasped in her paw, Fiki and her brother lept over a wide crack in the ground.
