The antapiler is an extraordinary form of insect that has only just been discovered. It was found in an abandoned ant nest behind a shed by an eleven year old boy in 2014. Scientists took into a lab to study it closely as they felt it wold be good to find new creatures like this one, and observe them closely in order to learn as much as possible about them.

It is like most insects, it has a lot of small spiked-topped legs it also has tiny pinchers located on the front of the face. To the side of the face it has 14 eyes that watch its pray and victims. Usually they have emerald and lapis patterned coloured scales but sometimes they have scarlet and ebony scales.

This amazing creature can run at speeds of 107mp when scared. Sadly this species population when’s from 25,235 and now there’s only 5,125 so if you find one just no that that day will be your lucky day.
