The Skin Crawler

The skin crawler is a phenomenal conformation of a hybrid which consists of a water bug and a mutated butterfly. Extraordinarily,  this hybrid is natural, as it has been latterly discovered in South Africa. It’s strange and unsettling appearances make its title, however, it’s petrifying abilities and habits also make the species’ name as it is. Are there any dominant details we need to know about this contemporary creature?

Already being a devil, the skin crawler starts off as a water bug and later on in its short yet mischievous life, it shoots out four huge wings allowing it to glide freely through the air. At its fully developed body, the wide majority of them produce the petrifying ability to lock onto preys and when landing on any skin, dig out tiny holes, inserting oval-like eggs into the flesh of those holes. Possessing four wings, it would be like a suicide mission to try and kill one, as these devils are not having any of it. As the creatures can do so much damage, it comes to a surprise to many scientists about the size of this beetle being about the same as the size of a bee! Remarkably, the skin crawlers have the ability to see in all directions at once meaning you should not try to sneak up on one, in any way.

Although having gruesome abilities, these skin crawlers are incredibly beautiful being a glossy ocean blue on the body, and on the wings, a mix of vivid pastel colors. Alongside this, at night there is a slight chance of glowing in di light, making it like a firefly. Weirdly, they can see through many objects making it a breeze to navigate and unlike any other insect, they are immune to light and even electricity. That zapper would not help! So-beware.
