The Nymph-Crawfish
The Nymph-Crawfish
The Nymph-crawfish is an amazing discovery. It’s abilities are still yet unknown but seems to have a lot of unique features as far as we know. Is there anything dangerous or special about this unrecognised creature?
Like many insects, it is small at the length of 2cm and 5mm but unlike many creatures, has a long range of distance in their eyesight. Their eyes are made up of millions of tiny eyes. The most unusual thing about the nymph-crawfish is that if you ever dare to look into their eyes, you will feel unusually dizzy.
The nymph-crawfish has got fins as well as legs. Fins are really useful towards the nymph-crawfish because they can change colour to help adapt to many different climates really fast. They also help them swim swim faster than many sea creatures despite how slowly they walk on land. The legs help walk on land, however, they work slower than the fins making them walk slower. The legs on a nymph-crawfish combine with the thorax when swimming to not get in the way. The thorax on a nymph-crawfish is also very scaly. The scales are a very important part on the nymph-crawfish because it can turn from a holographic green to whole different colour. They use this to camouflage. The scales are located on the top half of the body. We’ll know we know about a few parts of the body, what about the diet?
Well, the nymph-crawfish eats flies when on land and when in water, shrimp. They don’t chew, they suck up the food at swallows whole. To track the prey, they use the hair like antennas to follow and eat. The food then goes down into the abdomen. It is on their back to not cause pains. Every time the nymph-crawfish eats, it gives birth. The tail helps them to swim and whack the prey to make it unconscious. You will be lucky to see one of these because they are extremely rare.
