The candles lit and they filled the room with a soothing, dim, orange light.
The bunnies got taken closer to the king for inspection. “Hmmm… No holes, no leaks, Perfect!” Exclaimed the king happily. Rosie heard the King tell the guards and the enemy to drop the sack and to go to a place to have a chat. So the King, the guards and the enemy went with the king and left the sack in the first room.
| Randy thought that this was a perfect chance to escape so he got Rosie’s Yellow and Blue Blade and sliced a bigger hole in the sack. They all crawled out and Rusty had a big stretch. Fortunately, a rescue team was ordered by the bunnies’ families. They had been searching all day and night when, at the moment, they broke the hinges and crashed through the gates, flooding the room with fresh sunlight.
There was a squad of 6 rabbits in uniform with bold words over their T-shirts reading ‘TORNADOVILLE RESCUE TEAM’, a squad of 4 rabbits in helicopters and a squad of 6 rabbits who were in bright red and yellow uniform. The bunnies’ families were also there. The guards, the enemy and the King came rushing out to investigate the case. The rescue people had handcuffs and arrested the king, the enemy and all of the guards in the palace.
| Then one of the helicopter pilots said “Hey. Name’s Jake. Hop in my helicopter and tell me where you need to go and I’ll get you there.”
So Rosie, Rusty and Randy hopped in the helicopter and told Jake that they had to go to the Forgotten Vulcan on the Lost Island. Jake fired up the rotors and started to lift off. Off they zoomed, the palace becoming the size of a fly, then a tiny dot and then eventually nothing. (If you’re wondering, the other helicopter pilots did follow Jake so no one was left behind.)
“Hey everyone! My radar is saying that The Forgotten Vulcan is not that far away! Just one or two miles left!” spoke Jake joyfully. The next minute, The forgotten Vulcan was already in sight. All the bunnies were extremely anxious to get there since they had been trying to get there for the past few days or even weeks! The shore of The Lost island popped under them and in no time, it was landing time.
They touched down on the landing pad and the sea erupted in waves and sea spray. The waves crashed against the volcano, occasionally splashing into the caves but the rescue team was prepared for this type of situation. You see, when a new object or new people enter the vicinity of the Lost Island, the Island has some kind of spell on it so it can alert the inhabitants that a new person or thing is near. (The landing pad is in the Vulcan Village by the way)
All this was carefully planned out. The helicopter pilot who was in the back with the enemy guards and the king was flying so low that the waves were striking them so the helicopter pilot jumped from the cockpit with a parachute and glided away, leaving the helicopter to plunge into the waves.
| Rosie, Randy and Rusty looked back at the helicopter, watching the rotors spin the water up like a whirlpool and then eventually, the cockpit got flooded with salt water. They also saw the helicopter pilot glide past like saying ‘Hi’ to a friend.
They had to get to the Forgotten Vulcan by foot now. The trip wasn’t long, just a kilometre or maybe even less. Off they waddled, to the volcano. Jake shared some choc biscuits with them and when they finally got there , they admired the sheer size of the Forgotten Vulcan.
| The sun was gleaming on top of the volcano like a big ball of plasma (which is funnily what the sun is made of). Randy saw a small cleaning cabinet with a half open door. “What if Ella is hiding there?” The volcano was sandy and rocky, but he tried to climb up anyway… |
