On my way to…
On my way to a lake,
I saw a girl called Harmony
She had eyes as blue as peacock feathers
Her face as soft as petals from a dandelion
She has green hair like vines draping from a wall.
On my way to main street,
I met a man called Pavement
His face as rough as tiles
He has soft hair like freshly chewed gum
And foot prints for hands and feet.
On my way to the fun fair,
I met a boy called Clown
His skin as white as snow
He has a nose a like red ruby
And hair like a rain bow.
On my way to school,
I saw myself
With my long blond locks blowing in the wind
And my multi-colored eyes
But the most important thing is I am who I am.
Well done Mawgan for creating an interesting and thought-provoking poem. I think your final verse is particularly effective.
