on the way home
On the way home
I met a girl called Moon,
She whispered to the sweet stars,
As softly as a cloud, with hair as long as a river.
I met a boy called Night,
With eyes as dark as everlasting coal,
He spoke to the planets as gentile as a puppy.
I met a woman called Star,
With hair glistening,
Like gold in the deep waters,
She spoke to the moon in her light voice.
I met a man called Atom,
As fast as light,
He spoke dust as the air got cold.
I met a granny called Sun,
She was as bright and cheerful as a monkey,
She spoke fluent kindness.
I like how you have linked it to one theme.
You created some interesting images, I especially liked you last 2 verses. Well done Florence!
