The Nature of Neverbelieve
The Moonflower’s petals are like
the soft fluff inside the pillow,
that I lay my head on at night.
The Primrose’s leaves are like
a threadbare blanket,
covering the insects that lay
beneath it.
The White Oak tree’s branches are like
boney fingers of a witch,
dragging me to her cauldron.
The Bulgarian flower’s stem stood like
a cat patrolling the area,
for its prey that slept innocently.
The Spicy tree’s peppers
we’re as smooth as B&Q’s paint,
that has just been laid.
