Lavender Lake
Lavender Lake
Lavender lake,
Blossoms purple dots,
In the shimmering moonlight stars,
It flutters petals,
As beautiful as the eclipse,
The stem is like a rat’s tail.
Standing through the
Stiff soil, the roots
Are like the electric wires
Running through
The underground.

Well done, Dylan. I can see you’ve tried to use personification and similes in this poem. Have you been on the Underground in London? I’m assuming you have by the way you’ve said the wires are like the roots of a plant.
