The Shadow Fox

On the island of Neverbelieve, shadow foxes tend to hide in dark caves and stay there to watch its pray. While this creature hunts, it is being hunted by another animal. As a result, most shadow foxes don’t live for long.

Shadow foxes are hostile animals that only hunt species smaller than it. Its black and dark purple fur helps it to camouflage in their habitat at night. However, it is visible in pure daylight. Because of this, it immediately finds a dark spot. For example, a small hole in the soil. Their soft white eyes assist them in the cold nightfall in winter. Amazingly, they camouflage when it’s winter in the day. This is because they turn into light foxes in winter, so they turn fully white, but their eyes turn pitch black.

They live near darker patches of land. Mostly near rivers so they have a less chance of being attacked. Many people believe that they live near villages to hunt down people, but shadow foxes are very loyal and majestic near humans. They are very friendly with each other and help one another out. Toads and lavafrogs live near them, so the shadow foxes feed on them.

In addition, the majority of wealthy people have them as pets. However, they have been now to sneak out and help villagers who are poor. They find food to help people, so it is thought that they are animals that should be let into villages so the poor can have them as pets. So overall, they have been said to be the most special animal on Neverbelieve Island.

They are friendly to humans and make a great pet.
