Unicorn spotted in Yellowstone National Park by a group of young English hikers yesterday afternoon.
The hikers were exploring the mountains of Yellowstone National Park when they spotted the Mountain Unicorn. The three English hikers are on a gap year before starting University in London, so far they have been to different countries all around the world, their last stop was Japan.
Landing in Salt Lake City the hikers travelled straight to the famous Yellowstone park to explore the mountains. While exploring a particularly beautiful track they glimpsed a Mountain Unicorn. The Mountain Unicorn is normally very hard to spot because of its grey body but because it was moving through the grass it caught their eye. They instinctively pulled out their phones and took pictures to post online later that day.
They knew it was a type of Unicorn but none of them knew it could project deadly venom out of its horn. This Unicorn has not been seen for over 2 years and some people were worried it had gone extinct after a really cold winter.
Trying to be quiet the hikers tried to sneak up on the Unicorn, not knowing the danger they were putting themselves in, as the Unicorn will fight back when surprised and feels threatened. As soon as they got close to the Unicorn, it sensed them and thought it was being attacked so it fought back, pricking Ryan, the eldest of the hikers, in the hand. The symptoms started to show an hour later when they were back in their hotel and Ryan was feeling dizzy, was sick and fell unconscious.
The other hikers, Lucy and Jim, called an ambulance. After the medics asked what might have caused the vomiting, as soon as they mentioned the little grey Unicorn, Ryan was rushed to the hospital. As it was already in his body, this can sometimes cause death, but Ryan was extremely lucky and is only paralysed from the waist down, this will soon wear off and Ryan will be back up and about because of physical therapy. Signs have been put up in the area warning people not to approach the Unicorn.
“I didn’t know the side effects of getting close to a Unicorn, I was just trying to have fun, it looked so cute”
