flower tree
The burning ash tree burns
With molten rock,
Setting house alarms off
And makes people screech
Its leaves have burnt edges
Flowers are impossible to snap
Like burnt toast
Flames shoot out of it, branches slowly dissolve
And fall on the ground, the trunk as strong
As a volcano and as thick as a body
Builder, twigs are like glass with razor sharp edges
Its roots are burnt rocks,
Looking evil like barb wire spread everywhere
Jacobs ladder flower
Stem as thin as a
Little child’s finger and as flexible as a stretchy straw
Leaves dangle at the top like tinsel at Christmas,
The petals silky and soft covering the flower,
The stigma is charcoal black and as dark
As a cave, the pollen is like yellow
Sherbert powder, the anther
Is like cotton buds
And soft dough balls.
