The Ocean Unicorn

Introduction 

The Ocean Unicorn comes out only at night time and roams around parks and eats the leftover food scattered all over the floor. You can also find these mythical creatures swimming in the deep depths of the dark, gloomy and terrifying ocean. This type of unicorn is one of the rarest unicorns since it can make a wave whenever it wants to with those waves they can be a variety of sizes. In the 90s this creature was hunted but it was never found and there were no trails. This mystical unicorn has only been seen by one human because it can camouflage in the ocean. This type of unicorn only comes out of hiding to get food because it’s risky when there are unicorn hunters, however, The Ocean Unicorn is fairly safe as most creatures – other than humans – are too scared to approach them. 

Habitat 

This unique unicorn lives 7,236m below sea level where his house (a shipwreck) is perched on the sea bed. The unicorns go down this deep to hide from the unicorn hunters since the hunters can’t get down to them. This shipwreck is filled with fish and surrounded in kelp and seaweed to keep it secret from the massive squids and sharks. The shipwreck that the Ocean Unicorn lives in, is rotten and old. The ship is called HMS Victory and this shipwreck sunk on 5th October 1744 and now the unicorn lives inside of it. Where the Shipwreck has hit the seabed, there is barely any light shining through, but the unicorn can see in the dark. There is green, slimy and disgusting sea grass and moss climbing all over the walls of the shipwreck.

Appearance 

Would you recognise an Ocean Unicorn if you saw one? Like most flying horses, they have a silky mane and a flowing, cascading tail. His eyes are as blue as the deep, dark ocean that surrounds him. He has a magical horn that can turn him into a water bender so he can make waves with his horn. He has pail white fur covering his skin from the cold weather. His mane is lapiz blue which is never-ending. His wings are big and fluffy which enables them to stand out amongst the other species due to the vibrant colour of his wings. He has gills on his sides to allow him to breathe underwater. He has massive hooves that help them walk on the rough surface of the seabed and they crush anything below them. This unicorn has lungs of steel so he can escape predators by running on land or swimming underwater for hours on end. Also he has big ears so he can hear hunters/predators from a mile away so he can’t get caught by surprise and his nose can smell food from miles away. He has powerful legs that can make him swim swiftly through the water and the unicorn’s eyes can see underwater and at night time.

Diet 

This mythical and unique creature has a specific diet so it  eats small saltwater turtles and it sometimes goes to the surface and scours the parks for leftover food and even searches trash cans. It also feasts off small shoals of fish in the ocean and shrimps found on the cliff of the ocean. Additionally, he eats seaweed and kelp that has to grow at the bottom of the ocean. Their favourite food is jellyfish and leatherback turtles. If they eat any other food it can give them colic and colic is a life threatening disease to these precious animals so it can kill them if they eat any different food. So if you come face to face with this unique creature don’t feed it since it can be lethal.

It also likes to feast on big squids under the ocean.

Behaviour 

The ocean unicorn is a wonderful creature but it attacks if it thinks its young is in danger or being threatened so try not to get near to their young . This type of unicorn is very kind and when it’s young it’s really playful and plays with small fish found on the seabed. This unique creature scours the beach looking for shiny blue treasure so he can take it down to his house (a shipwreck) and put it in his treasure room. Since it’s an ocean unicorn it likes to dive in and out of the water. Even though it’s an ocean unicorn it really likes halloween but he isn’t very social so they stay away from each other. This unicorn is like a hornet  so it will only attack you if it feels scared or threatened.

Closing Paragraph 

Many people believe that the ocean unicorn can grant mystical powers but that is yet to be proven since only one person has seen this rare unicorn and that was in 1990. If you have seen this magical creature in your local area it’s best to keep it a secret or you could put  their lives in grave danger since there are hunters looking for these mythical unicorns. They enjoy being fed and petted but only one person has seen and gained the trust of this unicorn because it has lost peoples trust  after it heard that they get hunted down and killed for their horns and they take their fur and make carpets out of it and coats. Luckily they can camouflage in the sea or even on land.
