Chapter two- The Blue Lodge
Chapter two- The Blue Lodge
They finally fell asleep.
The next morning, they awoke, it was bitterly cold and there was frost everywhere. Arthur was the first to wake up, he nudged Lily so they could pack their belongings while Ash was still sleeping. The sun was rising so it made the frost glisten on the autumn leaves.
Lily and Arthur got the map out of the backpack to decide on where their next destination will be. They took a long hard look, then Lily said, “what about Blue Lodge? It’s the closest and Mother always said it was lovely.”
Arthur agreed, they woke up Ash and they were finally ready to leave.
They were strolling through the freezing, frosty forest as the indestructible wind was dragging them back. Ash started to shiver with coldness so Lily wrapped him up in a fluffy blanket to keep him warm. Arthur was apprehensive and could hear his heart beating faster and faster. The Gorm could be only minutes away. What if it caught them? What would happen? Would it kill them? SNAP!! The three rabbits turned instantly like a baby bird looking for its mother. Instantaneously, they thought it was the Gorm, but it was just an old tree that had fallen. But this tree was different. After the tree had fallen it left an awful scent that was hovering around the air.It was mysterious but they carried on. The leaves, that were scattered all over the forest, were a lovely autumn orange and yellow.
After a while, they started to hear people talking and children laughing. They started walking towards the strange sound, what was it?
They walked towards the sound. There was so much curiosity running around his head. Suddenly they stopped, in front of their eyes was a village with cottages, shops, markets, parks and all they could smell was the sweet treats from the bakery nearby. They finally felt at home. They loved this place but where were they going to stay for the night…
