Outside, it was windy on rocky Ithaca and you would not  notice as it it was as quiet as a graveyard. The Only way you could know is when you run as fast as you can.
Inside, it was warm and noisy as the suitors are drinking and feasting and getting over excited while laughing like they have drunk too much alcohol.
Penelope (Odysseus’s wife) said that the suitor who can shoot an arrow through the 12 ceremonial axes would be the one she marries but as expected none of them could even get the arrow through one ceremonial axes. Then Odysseus, who was disguised as an old beggar, said he would try and he put the arrow firmly in the bow and shot, it went through all of the ceremonial axes. Penelope was surprised, and the suitors were speechless…
