They had been stuck in the attic for what seemed like an eternity. John sat on the floor, sulking. However, Joseph was looking, checking and feeling for any loose or missing bricks.
He tried to kick the window open but it was no use. The window was shut good and tight. He saw a minuscule gap in the wall.”Help!!!!!!”shouted Joseph
, through the gap in the wall. Nobody heard him because birds were tweeting loudly
“Get up and help instead of sitting around like a wound down mechanical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”shouted Joseph, pouring frustration on John.”It’s no use we’re stuck and done for.”replied John, heartbroken.Why was John so upset?
“I need your help!!!!!!!!!”shouted Joseph.
Quietly, the two boys sat in silence.Joseph’s anger was slowly ticking away like a bomb. Inside, the lights were flickering on and off. Outside, it was a dark and stormy night. Owls hooted Would in the dark woods nearby.
Aroooooooooooooooo!!!!!! Howled Hades.” Give …me …a… wind…up…” droned Hades. Joseph saw a crack in the wall. It was way to small to reach through. He got a metal rod. It was to small!!!!! He got a smaller rod. Was it going to fit? Or would the boys be stuck forev-CLICK!CLICK!CLICK!CLICK! Went Hades’ clock work key.
“Let’s GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!”shouted Hades giving Joseph the key.
Cautiously, Joseph walked towards the door. Was it going to fit? It opened! “Are we being chased?”asked John.
“No.”replied Joseph.
Half an hour later, they found camp at a fallen down tree.”I will tell you how I escaped.said Hades.” I knew that as soon as I heard that voice, that I had to retreat.”finished Hades. Where was Josh???
