Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Ciaran dreamed. A firm but somehow soothing voice was calling him to come closer. He followed the voice but every time he felt like was getting close to the voice, it faded away. Ciaran was running downstairs when suddenly the voice stopped and the ground started to shake and the roof started to collapse, and then suddenly it was a black out.

Ciaran woke with a start. It had been snowing overnight but most of it had melted by now. Owen was clawing the ground for worms but then he stopped suddenly. Ciaran crawled towards him and then turned the key underneath his right wing. “Thank you” said Owen politely, “I think it is time for you to get back your Mcguffin. “I saw that scoundrel of a man boxing and packing everything onto his airship.” “He is probably going to take flight soon.” Said Owen, still clawing around for worms. “We need to get up and get ready to sneak onto that airship, so get up now Robert.” Squawked Owen rather loudly.

“Alright, alright I’m up,” grumbled Robert,” I was having a nice dream.” He said yawning.

A couple minutes later, the tired trio was making their way towards the gigantic silver airship. They could smell the smoke from the fire and the sickening smell of the Professor. The three of them watched the professors every move until finally, the professor went into the house to get another suitcase. The trio took their chance and ran onto the deck of the airship. It was a marvellous airship. It was like a dream, the wooden floor was squeaky clean, the big air bubble was absolutely marvellous.

The light was very dim below deck, but it was nice and cosy. The saw the globe and to their relief, the model of the airship was there. Suddenly, there was a muffled shout from the next room. Very slowly, They walked along the corridor into the next room and there was Ciaran’s dad. Ciaran ran over, untied him and took the bluff away from his mouth. Ciaran hugged his dad close to him. “I thought I’d never find you.” Whispered Ciaran. “Come on quick,” said dad, “We have to get out of here before Professor Longton finds us.

The moment the lifted off the ground ,Professor came bolting round the corner shouting insults at them “Thieves, scoundrels, hooligans.” He carried on for a while until he had completely disappeared. The emerald green grass was beautiful and the rivers were like blue strings. Owen sat down and started to snooze.
