A simple life by Maya
A simple life.
It doesn’t have to be
the buzz of a bee, humming in the sky,
or a crystal glistening in the moonlight,
or the blue petals of a pretty periwinkle,
or the beautiful sea of portwrinkle beach at night, when the sea is like glittering sapphires.
It could be
the simple beat of a heart loving life, never wanting to end,
or the muddy grass of Horsepool Lane,
or a rusty signpost leading to a most-loved place,
or even the painful jab of dagger-like rocks, prickling my feet.
Be as mysterious as foam;
bubbling up on the shore.
Notice now how the golf-course flags
become more memorable.
Even a thunderstorm,
will have a heart of gold.
