My name is Thor Ragnarock and I work in Sane forest. Most people call me Thor. I am the forest ranger. I feed the animals, clean the water and pick berries in the morning. Someone once told me a giant like creature lived in Sane forest. I have a little wooden cabin that keeps the racoons out. I’m the only person in the world who has a pet boa, but when people come to see the forest ranger because a moose is attacking their car they run away screaming because a giant snake answered the door.

A girl runs through the trees and falls on to me and shouts “get out of my way!” I stare at her, Boe (my pet boa) hisses at her. I shout back “what’s the rush!” And Boe hisses again, but she runs into my cabin and shuts the door, so I have to run after her into my cabin and I find her hiding under my couch.

Before we go on with this, there is a story about Green-lock I should tell you. It happened so long ago it’s written in hieroglyphs. Carvings on a great big wall tell of a huge giant like creature that lives in Sane forest that disguises its self as a tree during the day and comes out at night to hunt. If this so called monster is real people say it is a species of mander known as the Venox and it has only been spotted twice. The two people who apparently saw it say it smells of rotten flesh and has a bloodcurdling roar. It left nothing behind but broken trees. Some say if you listen really closely at night you can hear the shrieks and screams of it.

Some say that it is hungry. Some say it that it is thirsty. Some say that it’s the last of its kind and its looking for all the other Venoxs. I’ve never heard it and I live in Sane forest so that’s why I don’t believe it.

“What is it why are you under my couch?” I ask her “what’s happening?”

“I’ve seen the monster!” She shouts “do you have any food?”
