The mosamander chapter 4

I was just about to run out and then I remembered “oh yeah freezing cold waters” so I turned back around in an instant. The Mosamander awoke and beamed me right in the eyes. Out of nowhere Ray steps towards the Mosamander and says “we mean no harm to you or your eggs we want to protect you” I thought to myself that, that was it it’s another right here right now I knew that Ray was trying to hold back his fear.

The Mosamander leaned its head closer to Ray but he didn’t move a muscle then I was almost sure that it was the end. Then to my surprise it leaned its head back and sat straight up a bit like a dog. “We are no threat to you. If we were, we’d say I wouldn’t be here right now.” I had no idea how but it was working. Ray was talking to it and it was working.

“But we are going to leave now, ” whispered Ray and withe the mosamander, not giving a care in the world we swam right out of there and my body couldn’t express how cold I was after that. Well at least I know now that the mosamander will not hurt anybody for no reason.

Outside the cave I took a massive gulp but inside the cave we could hear the sound of a tired mosamander already fallen back to sleep.

When I was back in my nice warm cabin sitting by the fire I wondered how I could keep what happened today a secret although Ray had probably already told someone. Then it came to me. I’ll ask the government to put up more signs so that it is clear that the crystal cave is a dangerous place and you should not step foot anywhere near it.

The next day me and Ray are dawdling down  the path of the village as the sun rises and already people start to open their shops which makes the village a lot more cheerful. Then we found ourselves back at the mountains watching the waves go by .

I start to wonder if all the eggs were safe and sound. I just hope that its eggs hatch safely. It all just depends on if no-one else finds them.

Ray then puts out his arm and points to a shiny piece of gold floating in the sea. You could see it from a mile away. Quickly it washed up on the seashore.

It was a treasure chest with a gold platelet written in 1931. A short story of a pirate whose boat sank and all that remained was the chest considering it was over 100 years old it was very easy to open. It turns out the reason the ship sank was because of the mosamander that the ship sank, luckily it did because they were on a mission to kill it. Outside was just a dark little village but inside the chest made the village come to light with 100 of gold coins. But then the letter ended with g… we assumed that was when the ship sank.

Later on in the day we walked back to our little cabin in the middle of the woods and we talk

“Are adventure isn’t other just yet said Ray i replied with its only just begun.
