i want to paint
I want to paint-
the scorching sun peeking through the towering trees, shining brightly on my face,
fluffy flowers flowing in the wind spreading seeds for miles around the forest,
bikes pedalling around the treacherous trails doing jumps off ramps hoping to land,
and juicy chewy cherries that have tumbled tirelessly to the moss beneath my feet.
I want to paint –
Coming home your dog barking like it’s never seen you before, jumping up at you like you’re a stranger,
sinking in to your sofa like it’s a big comfy sponge disguised,
your cat scratching the side of your sofa or staring outside a window like it’s a spy,
watching movies with your family, your dog barking at the television
and your cat walking in front of the screen like it’s on the *******.
I want to paint the loud voices of football fans cheering for a goal.
I want to paint my mum’s strong scented perfume when I walk through the room.
I want to paint a sunrise on a beach early in the morning.
I want to paint a dog running through the morning rain.
I want to paint the end of this poem.
