A letter~By Monty

Dear Mum,

This Is my first letter to you since leaving London so it is a long one. (I promise to keep one’s after this shorter.) First of all I hope you and Dad are alright. I know that Dad is the bravest person ever being commander of our side of this terrifying war. I miss you both more than ever right now and I know that nothing will ever happen to you both. Let’s start at the train station, I got picked up by a sweet old lady called Mrs’s brown. She says that her husband got taken from her years ago and she knows how It feels. I like her though because she feeds me what I need to live as an eleven year old kid. She walks me to the school  which is just up the road and she gives me a packed lunch which is full of all my favourites. She gives me a heated room and a warm bed to sleep in and I get to wash in a warm steel bucket in the back garden in the evening. I get a couple of fried eggs from her chickens in the morning.

This is just an update so nothing much, lots of love    Brian.
