Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Walking home was beautiful, Lois got a peek of the sunrise. Caroline was by Lois’s side the whole way home; they were really starting to bond. The mute swan’s eyes, as black like a dolls, feathers white like a page waiting to be filled and graceful like an elegant leaf floating through the air. Lois was amazed, she kneeled down and put out her hand out at Caroline.
The mute swan’s beak bright and orange, like the pure sunset hiding behind the horizon. Its snake like legs slither elegantly in the small shallow but cold pond. Caroline’s personality is very different. She is shy and inquisitive but loves to stay with Lois and gets sad when it is a school day.
Lois got back from school that day only to come back to a surprise.
” Happy birthday ” yelled Mrs Bennett. Lois dropped her bag and ran into the room.
” How did you know?” replied Lois.
” I found your birth certificate inside one of the draws when I put your clothes away.”
” Could I ask you a question” said Lois
” Of course” said Mrs Bennet
” Where did you get Caroline from?” said Lois
” I bought it of someone and gave them one of my golden necklace I did have 20 but now 19″ said Mrs Bennet.
The woman who gave us Caroline told us ho she found her. Conclusively, it was a very sad depressing story of Caroline. The lady found Caroline when she was very small and young, sadly she did not have any parents; both of them died. So the lady took Caroline in as her own child to protect and help her the most. Until a couple of days ago when Mrs Bennet came and picked Caroline up, and gave me this; she pointed at the golden necklace.
Close to summers end Caroline and Lois were bonded together they were inseparable except from school days which was fairly common.
