(-The Mysterious wooden house-)
Chapter 4-
The policeman ran out chasing them. He grabbed his gun and shot a bullet into the air. Jim and Mrs Smith stopped. The policeman ran to them angry. “Follow me!” Shouted the policeman. He opened the secret entrance door and walked up to the door. He opened it furiously and opened the chest. “What is this!” Shouted the policeman.
“It’s…” Suddenly the lights went out when Mrs Smith was trying to say something.
“Follow me” whispered Mrs Smith. Jim followed her to the wooden house basement door and they both climbed up the ladder. The policeman couldn’t see anything.
They both stepped out. Mrs Smith looked out of the window. The policeman turned on his torch. “Lock the basement door fast!” said Mrs Smith. Jim closed the basement door with a key. There was an anti aircraft gun attached to a vehicle and drove it to the field. They placed it there and began to shoot the bombers before they bomb the town that was very far away. Some planes crashed down but some dropped. Some of them didn’t explode. Suddenly Mrs Smith and Jim heard a noise. The policeman bursted the basement door. He grabbed his pistol and pointed at Mrs Smith. “Do not move!” Shouted the policeman. “Please no! I can explain!” said Mrs Smith. The policeman put his gun into his holster.
“Explain it then,” said the policeman.
“ My son stole it.” said Mrs Smith. “I didn’t know he stole the gold, He just hid it there.”
“Why did you not return it?” Asked the policeman.
“I didn’t know what to do with it and I thought I would be arrested.” Suddenly the police opened the door to the wooden house. They both went down the basement and grabbed the chest.”
“Is your son still alive?” Asked the policeman.
“No…”
The secret was discovered.
The war had nearly ended… The bombs had stopped dropping but the secret was discovered. The bombs stopped droping and the planes stopped crashing to the field. The gold wasn’t there anymore. Mrs Smith was happy about it and didn’t need to worry that someone would arrest her for keeping the gold.
