Chapter 2

Going to spiky mountains

Bang! They all woke up.The sound of iron hitting the walls of the tunnel woke them up. Raz grabbed Rook and Rodkin led them out the tunnel.They started their journey. They began to get hungry and looked for berries but there weren’t any, not even bushes. When they looked behind them they saw a plate of iron.When they came to the end of stump forest there was a river.The temperature was freezing luckily they found a boat.

The small useless boat couldn’t fit all the rabbits in. What were they going to do if they swam,Rook would drown Raz and Rodkin would die of hypothermia. Rodkin told them that they would have to walk. So Rodkin started walking with Rook behind him and Raz behind Rook.

Then they found a map on the floor next to a few mountains. The small rabbits realised that they were at spiky mountains.Crossing past many mountains and walking into spiderwebs.Something was giving off light but they just couldn’t tell what it was. Rodkin continued to lead the way and Rook kept falling.

Eventually, Rodkin could see where the light was coming from; it was a little house. Paz was still far behind trying to catch Rook every time he fell.An old lady opened the door as they walked past and offered them to come in.

The rabbits knew it would be a warm place to sleep in and nice food. The children rushed in.Outside it was cold with no food, Inside it was warm with food cooking.They could hear iron bashing together and saw footprints that weren’t theirs.
