In the House of Wonders (version 2)
(Edited for typo and reposted – could the first version be deleted, please?)
In the room of death, I ran away from the afterlife as I felt like I was being chased by the grim reaper.
In the room of ice, I felt like I was dying of the darkness that surrounded me.
In the room of space, I watched as the stars and plants swirled around in circles like a toilet being flushed.
In the room of wonder, I watched as people danced in the air and looked like they were doing ballet.
In the room of games, I saw everyone playing monopoly, chess and checkers. They wanted me to play but were sad when they found out I had to leave.
In the room of education. I saw everyone learning from some of the smartest people, like Albert Einstein.
In the room of food, I was allowed to bake whatever I really wanted.
In the room of the helplessness, I saw everyone was poor and alone with only their family to help them. I wanted to do something but I couldn’t and I was sad to leave them like I was abandoning them.
In the room of fear, I saw everyone terrified of something threatening but I didn’t know what.
In the room of birds, I was allowed to feed them, touch them and even take one.
In the room of wolves, I saw one hunting its prey. It was very brutal which was not funny.
In the room of cats, I saw them meowing and purring like they were getting ready for bed which I put them to.
In the room of work, I was overwhelmed with paperwork like I was the only one there.
In the room of chairs, I was amused how they were able to put chairs into different shapes
In the room of destiny, I ran away from the future and I was scared I couldn’t get away
In the room of sand, I walked restlessly in the desert that surrounded me like I a sandstorm.
In the room of trees, I was surrounded by jungle. It looked like it was a maze but finally I got out.
In the room of family, I was happy to be surrounded by them.
In the room of friends, I was sad because I have none.
In the room of giants, I was amazed by how tall they are.
In the room of hills, I hiked until I was at the top of the top of the mountain.
In the room of war, I was the general leading my soldiers. We won but lost a lot of good people.
In the room of peace, we worked together to create a better world for humankind.
