Chapter 1

Jayden Settle hadn’t wanted to leave Bolton. He glanced out of the bathroom glass window, across many green hillsides and tried to punch something because he really didn’t want to leave his hometown and his entire family. Though he didn’t because he didn’t want people to make fun of him because he kept on getting angry.

His first day at his new school was now all lost in hope. The teacher was a respectful one called Mrs Cook. She suddenly realised that Jayden was an annoying little kid. John had to be put in the front row right in front of Mrs Cook  so she could check on him every time he does something, Jayden was mad as he kept on writing random stuff what he was not supposed to write and kept on passing notes to everyone but then he would keep on getting in trouble of the teacher. The time the bell went off, he would zoom off as fast as a flash  out the school door and everyone would be shouting at him for going too fast and bumping into people.

The weeks were going by and Jayden started to get less annoyed. Days in school was getting better and he was getting more comfortable in school. He spent all of his hours helping the teacher with all the books, cleaning the dishes and collecting the weeds from the garden. He kept on drinking hot chocolate so he could  try to stay awake so then he could study to get better grades.

Outside, rain splashed down on the wet and very soggy village and plants grew very tall because of the rain.

Inside, dishes are being left lonely inside the cupboard because they are very dirty with random types of food all around it and candles burn out every second so they cannot light anything inside the house.

Every night, Jayden is woken up by the creak of the gate opening and closing back up after a while. Every night, Jayden peers through the tiny gap in the dirty window. He watches where Mrs O’Brien goes every day as she sneaks her way to the hill which is 5 houses away. Every night, Jayden imagines where she goes on the hill and what she does on the hill. However,  he doesn’t go back to sleep. He is waiting for her to come back. Then he didn’t wait long to find out… The next morning, he is getting annoyed of her keeping this secret from him so he got out of his bed, got changed and sneaked out to her. When he finally got to the hill, he heard a growl but not a normal growl a low and loud  growl. Glazing through the grass, he finds out that Mrs O’Brien’s secret that she was hiding from him was…
