Amber the tiger’s eyes, were blood red and she stood as still as a statue.The tiger’s needlepoint nails dug deep into the concrete. The tiger’s sharp teeth looked  like a killer knife that had been stabbed into someone’s heartless soul.The tiger’s whiskers were as long as an eagle’s wings.Amber had jet black stripes and eyes as black as coal.

“By the looks of it, it seems that Amber is very fond of you.” Said Miss Tina staring at the baby cub and picking her up and putting her into the bushes.”I found her wandering about in the rocks looking for the little bits of food in the winter. It is not healthy for any animal to do that is it now?.’’ 

said Mrs Tina in a  thoughtful voice.They walked carefully through the road on the way back.The cold wind hit their faces and suddenly Emily felt like something was watching her. She looked through the cracks of the trees and almost thought that she just saw the purple eyes of the tiger.” She will be keeping an eye on us. There is nothing to be afraid of, she is our animal anyways.”  Said Miss Tina. Emily stood in shock. “  You must never speak of this secret ever do you understand me. People will take her back to the jungle and make her starve again.”

The night Emily dreamed of the great tiger.Amber was sneaking down the dark road and then Emily woke up and went to get some water. When she licked her hand, she shivered, her eyes were blood red like someone had been stabbed.

One night, Emily went to visit Amber when  Amber saw her  Amber  quickly grabbed her and went to Mrs Tina and told her to “come with me” said Emily “why” said Mrs Tina  and Emily grabbed and walked in the car.She learned from Duaa how to set rabbit traps and every time she went to see the trap it would be filled with all kinds of small animals. She watched for the road and ran to the jungle.The great tiger sat there happily waiting for some food. The tiger was very shy to go hunt  herself.

One night Amber was so happy that she let Emily feed her food . Amber always ran up to Emily putting her paws in her pockets scavenging for food.This changed Emily’s behavior. She no longer is rude to her mother and she does very well in school.One day Emily was being so good that she made her and Mrs Tina  breakfast and cleaned up the entire house.

Over the weeks Emily her mum and Amber became very good friends.
