Question poem
What are cold? A strangers stare,
the icicles that hang from the ceiling
of an ice cave and a witches heart.
What are hot? A manager’s temper after his team
misses a goal, Pompeii while it is eruption and
Steaming kettle.
What are heavy? The weight on a goalkeepers
shoulder on
A penalty shootout, a heart before the league final
and a stare from you parents after a phone call home.
What are frail? The leaves on a tree slowly
dancing in the wind,
An ant stomping its feet at hard as it can and
The slow snail that slithers on the path.
What are dark? The street at night, before the surprise party and the soul of a demon.
What are light? The diamond reflected of the misty moonlight, the summer sun and a lightbulb turned on.
What are hard? The cliffs of dover, fractions and watching my rugby team lose in the final.
What is soft? My pillow from my bed, the tackle bags and a fresh plum.
