The Somewhere Emporium (Gone Wrong)

Prologue:

Unlike the bright, tall door there was a window display stacked with many mysterious treats, gummy bears but giant (that are 12 calories)

and the nimbus 3000 sitting still waiting for someone to grab it. The best thing was a steady pyramid of bears, which looked really realistic. The window was completely full of admiring things.

At midnight the building always shines brightly so everyone starts running home. No one ever speaks about it.

Despite the weird Emporium seeming really magical, not a shadow enters, until something happened…

Chapter 1#

Whilst Charlotte was walking past, the door from the Emporium opened but no one was there.

Without thinking she stepped inside.

Charlotte, who attended Abrihem Academy (not too long ago), was being threatened by her teacher. This was so regular -that Charlotte wrote it down on her calendar-. Sadly, the day her parents had a divorce her teacher has been targeting her. As she entered the Emporium there was a phoenix being sold for £10,000.

“Who are you and why are you here?” asked a voice in the darkness.

Charlotte turned around and saw a tall man behind the counter.

Chapter2#

While Charlotte was admiring the toy display, she witnessed a baby phoenix land on the book. As the phoenix flew away Charlotte walked over to the book and read the title. Before she could open the brown, dusty book Mr. Tate stepped in the room and she immediately pooped it on the table beside her.

“Don’t put all your sticky hand prints on that book, that’s just for display!!” shouted Mr. Tate gripping onto the book. “Why is the book on the shelf if it’s supposed to be for display?” questioned Charlotte suspiciously. Even though she was told not to touch the book, Charlotte touched it anyway. Nervously, she opened the book and flipped through all the pages like it was a picture book. Charlotte dropped the book and grabbed the pen on the side. Charlotte started writing. As she began to write she felt a gust of wind, a bit of ink touch her arm and a pain stab through her hand.

Unexpectedly, Charlotte fell through a random world, everything was spinning and all of a sudden Charlotte was at an office – where there were football trophies-.

Charlotte surveyed the area and saw: a row of the hardest trophy cups; a statue of- the coolest footballer- Messi; and a computer playing a football video. Charlotte suddenly smelled burnt toast. She explored around and felt a leaf touch her arm.

Chapter3#

In the distance, Charlotte walked along and she found a majestic cottage core house. She ran to get closer to the door. It was a crimson oak door. Charlotte opened the door.

She screeched “Ouch! Ugh, stupid door what did I ever do to you. Now I have a splinter in my finger.”

As Charlotte was picking out the splinter she wondered if her dad was here. She looked around, there was everything she needed: a comfy bed; iridescent plates; a bathroom; and plenty of food.

“Um hello, anyone home, father you there, papa.” said Charlotte.

After so many tries she finally gave up on asking so she went to explore upstairs until the clock struck twelve.

“Wow, I can’t resist the clean walls and the floor is so shiny.” said Charlotte calmly.

She finally made it upstairs, suddenly there was a slight noise coming from the bedroom.

The temperature turned cold, a fast breeze rushed past, Charlotte had butterflies in her stomach. A shadow it…it was moving, something was in the house. Charlotte ran as fast as she could but stopped, there was silence, the beast ran downstairs to the kitchen.

Charlotte walked downstairs, as she stepped in the kitchen a mouthful of sick fell out her mouth. Until, the creature started chasing.

Charlotte ran as fast as a cheetah and soon enough she reached the door but she couldn’t escape, the door was locked. Charlotte could see the reflection of the monster on the iridescent TV screen. As she jammed the door open the monster jumped on top of her until…

Chapter4#

Annoyed, Charlotte tried to pull the monster off her back. Charlotte, remembering the door was locked, banged her head on the door and she instantly zoned out. After a while, she awoke.

Grinning, Charlotte smashed the window beside her and before she knew it Charlotte leaped out the window. A perfect landing, she desperately ran to the open door and disappeared into thin air. Confused, the beast went back to his home and the temperature was back to normal.

Wishing, she appeared back at the majestic but dusty Emporium. Charlotte bravely went to find Mr.Tate. As soon as Charlotte walked in the library, Mr.Tate noticed her.

“Oh hello, didn’t see you there.” said Mr.Tate

“Uhm, yeah uh… I… I want to speak to you.” mumbled Charlotte.

“What is it? Wait, DID YOU TOUCH THE BOOK!” shouted Mr.Tate.

“Yes, yes I did and I’m sorry I didn’t mean to, I just wanted to see it.” said Charlotte crying her eyes out.

“LEAVE NOW!” said Mr.Tate, angry and disappointed.

Like a cheetah, she ran out the Emporium door. Following, the iridescent phoenix jumped onto Charlotte’s tree (in her garden) and watched her enter the house.
