Poem for Pie – Coloured Masks

Esme’s poem for Pie

I wore the blue mask and saw

The serene, sapphire sea

A perfume filled blue hydrangea

And the dull, dusk sky full of darkening clouds

I wore the yellow mask and saw

The blazing sun dancing in the summer sky

The delicate dandelion swaying in the breeze

And the sweet smelling sunflower singing

I wore the mask of purple and saw

The beautiful milky way covering the sky

A perfect periwinkle flower in spring

And a flying purple butterfly

I wore the mask of red and saw

An amazing red cardinal flying above

A beautiful red rose patiently waiting

And a sweet strawberry plant full of life

I wore the mask of white and saw

A cute ,fluffy cloud soaring through the skies

A pair of doves sat on a white blossom tree

And a sweet mound of pure sugar
