Prologue and chapter 1

Prologue

You’ve probably had an amazing adventure on a skyship. In summer, you would have flown over the town, airborne above the clouds, which are as squishy as a marshmallow, and high above the highway smiling because you’re not in traffic. When you flew, there would have been road rage down below, children playing in the park and children screaming in excitement as they leave school. You probably got taken to one of the rivers or stopped at a nearby

Mcdonalds.

But travelling on expeditions to undisclosed land can be very dangerous. You should try an adventure as the wind blows at a cool breeze, the thunder rumbles warning you for a strike of lighting, shattering the sky into two. You should try being there when the wifi goes out, or sky bragongs nest on the ship ( be quiet if you turn them the’ll rip your head off ). Few people would wish this on anyone even experienced dragon slays and flyers think twice about this adventure. I don’t blame them. No one knows what creature habit this island. Rumours have it dinosaurs still exist on this island.

Chapter 1

The crowd gasped in excitement  as skyship Kraken arose into the air, floating as still as the sun in the sky. The engine roared! Captain Krakray spoke to the speaker, “ Attempt 1 on take off with skyship Kraken.”  The engine roared as loud as a tiger. Everyone screamed in  joy. They were off!

Jake and Penny glanced down as the skyship was ascending and from far up. Far down, the top of trees looked like green skittles and the crowd cheering looked like fuzzy dots from a malfunctioning tv. They flew over fields and forests, houses and factories. They only knew because the factory’s machines were  moving.

Regretting their whole lifes decisions penny graded onto railing overthink everything. Jake walked up smiling with joy and said Penny, “ Are you ok Penny you look scared,” asked jake.

Penny replied with “ no im not ok what if the engine fails mid air, or we crash, or we get sucked into a black hole!”

“ You’re overthinking everything again just like you always do,” Jake announced.

“You’re right,” Penny said, starting to calm down.

Within about half an hour, the Kraken was hovering above the forest. Jake looked down and could see grey dots which looked like birds, poachers looking around for any exotic animals and trees which were as small as cut up broccoli on a plate. Penny laughed, “It’s Nearly smaller than you Jake,” she said while smiling.

“You’re shorter than me,” Jake replied, clenching his fists.

That evening, the sun got replaced with hail crashing down causing the birds to fall to the ground in a cluster. The moon like a spotlight shone down at the skyship allowing them to see the monkeys swing from tree to tree. Also, revealing grass as green as a lime.
