Chapter 4

As The Thaddensars was accelerating and reaching up to extremely high heights, the beast from before came back to get some sweet revenge and hit the skyship hard. At that moment, it forced the two observers (Jeremiah and Christopher) to activate the emergency supplies and weapons; making them suddenly appear out of nowhere, shocking everyone and confusing the beast. Nearly everywhere on the ship had a weapon or weapon stock. The elderly explorer shouted in shock “Wait I recognise that beast, that is an elite Ship-devourer!” “WHAT!? I thought that was a myth…” Replied the captain who was also in shock.

The Ship-devourer looked like it had the face of the devil, even if The Thaddensars’ crew tried to escape, they had no chance as it could leap through the air like an air hopper only for the ship to get a mean bite from them, so there was no escape. Suddenly, the creature starts emitting a weird gurgling sound from its core. It looked as if it was getting ready for a powerful attack against The Thaddensars and its crew.

After a while of firing and attempting to annihilate the beast, it spewed out a lot of mini versions of themself and they all hopped onto the ship in synchronous pattern. The crew attempted to hide but they eventually got themselves into a dogfight between them and the invading mini Ship-devourers. Eventually, most of the crew was too engaged in fighting with the mini creatures that some of them were forgetting about the bigger Ship-devourer. Except the fact that the old explorer did not forget.

As he went to attack the beast he fell back due to one of the minions of them, he drops something quite peculiar as he fights back to the beast, it looked like a screeching stone of death. The giant Ship-devourer goes and eats the stone, they probably regretted devouring the stone as they almost immediately spat it out; then as it touched the ground Barnaby ran and brought it back to Claire. Unknowing of what to do she accidentally used it and scared the creature off into the distance and made the mini beasts fall backwards into the ocean.

After a glorious victory against the beast, Captain Fibzettence decided and controlled The Thaddensars to head back all the way to Anbono -only for a small stop and to repair the skyship- as they arrived the citizens of Anbono through a celebration party for completing the expedition. They were starting to fly up into the air, ready for a new adventure…
