The Dragon

Dragon Poem

The dragon’s eyes are glistening in the sunlight, he pauses and poses for one split second then scuttles away.

The dragon’s eyes, still darting from side to side are deep china blue.

His scaly skin so bumpy like some pot holes in the middle of an ancient country lane.

His ridged teeth within his jaw like a pointed barbed wire, his tongue whipping back and forth as quickly as a horse galloping twenty miles per hour.

Now as brave and strong as a Doberman, his never-ending tail as long as a king cobra snake,

Suddenly pouncing into action, he travels across the sanded beach like a frisky horse saving its herd.

Its claws so sharp like a shard of glass on the kitchen floor.

Dominating terror in its neighbourhood.

This dragon is the head of his horde.
