The Eagles Eye

The Eagles Eye

Prologue

You’ve probably been on a sky-ship when the grass is green swaying beneath you, the wind flows through your hair as birds whistle in the bright green trees standing up tall proudly. When the sun shines down on you like you’re on a luxury holiday how the sapphire turquoise ocean glimmers in the warm breeze. But have you ever tried a different sky- ship where none of that will ever become true, where the sky is dark and gloomy the cold shivers up your spine increase as you go further out into the distance? Have you ever tried going on a sky ship where the sea below you becomes further and further away? Everything is cold and dark not even one tiny glimpse of sunlight anywhere. The sky-ship is a never-ending land of horror; I’m telling you to watch out because you never know what could happen next…

Chapter one

Leaning over the chest of money, Captain Phillips called everyone and told them that they needed to be by him at this instant. All the crew jumped up and sprinted over to the Captain, with whispers going around he asked everyone to stay calm as he stared at each and every one of them. Then he explained how they were in an unknown area and needed to turn around quickly. scared, everyone started running towards the captain and firing out questions. A young boy, 14 named James, standing in the corner, worriedly walked towards Captain Phillips with a scared look on his face, “C-captain… I know where we are…” Captain Phillips looked at him in a disgust look, and ordered James to get back to work and not be involved. As James walked of in a sad look he grabbed his notebook and started writing about all the coordinates of where they were. He walked towards the large group of people and purposely dropped his notebook on the ground for someone to find, he then ran back towards where he was doing work and started painting again. Two hours went by yet he was still working. As the crew finally stop cleaning James, as always, had to carry on scrubbing and painting the deck. Bored, he leapt up to the floor above him and spotted his little sister, Olivia sobbing whilst being shouted at by one of the crew members because she wasn’t cleaning properly. Annoyed, James ran towards the man who was shouting, “STOP!” shouted James as he grabbed Olivia’s arms and sprinted towards his room, Olivia squeezed him tight, looked up at him and smiled.

The darkness had risen James tucked Olivia in her bed, then jumped into his bed, whilst staring out of the nearest window watching the moon glimmer in the distance. Morning had come, the sun was nowhere to be seen, all there was, were dark rainy storm clouds. James heard some rattles in the distance and became worried… he leaped up and pulled Olivia out of her bed as well, the ship started to shake, more things were breaking. James ran with his sister with a worried look on his face, the ship wasn’t looking good…

The captain called everyone, and with a spring in his feet James immediately darted towards the big scurry of people. The boat started to tip, the only thing they could do was jump… 1… 2… 3… ‘SPLASH’! James saw people one by one jump into the water, with a strong nerve in his face he lent over the deck, only to find out that everyone had already jumped. It was his turn, he carefully grabbed Olivia and hung her over the edge of the creme wooden barrier, there was no other option… he dropped her.

Screams expanded as tears flew down James’s eyeline, his heart dropped as he even started to think about his sister falling. There was nothing he could do about do it, he ran towards his room and grabbed a parachute which was buried in his first aid bag. He strapped it to his back and ran towards the edge as quick as he could, ‘WOOSH’! he jumped, as he got closer to this mysterious island his parachute exploded… “HELP!” he shouted as he dropped from the sky even faster than a heavy, emirates plane falling from the sky, the wind took him away he was slowly floating away from the island he was meant to land on. “oh no” he said as he saw that the island was out of his gaze, he luckily had a soft landing as fell on a bunch of tropical palm tree leaves that must have fell from the tree above him, “OUCH!” a coconut bounced of his head and onto the ground, it must of fell from the tree. He slowly made his way up and picked up his rucksack which was almost buried under the pile of leaves he had fallen on. “w-where am I?” he wondered as he started to head towards something in the distance, he could just make out that it was beach. Climbing towards the beach he spotted his parachute which was still attached to his back, he struggled to take it off but after he did he chucked it on the floor. Before he could even make out a word his brain exploded, his heart dropped, his nerves increased…

He was in the middle of nowhere.
