Adventure on the Roaring Fish

Chapter 3

Something was appearing from behind the active volcano! Claudia, who was trying to not make a noise, accidentally stood on a twig and it split in half. Worrying, she hid behind Claude as the species revealed its identity. When Claudia and Claude saw the animal it was a big, chubby, fluffy multicoloured ostrich.

Claude screamed in fear, not realising it was just a harmless ostrich. Claudia’s eyes glistened in the sun as she took a look at the bird, she immediately loved it. She tried to warn Claude off so he wouldn’t whack the poor thing with a wooden plank.

“My name is Ferb” replied the ostrich. “Claude, we have a talking bird!” shouted Claudia while Claude was trying to control his instinct to scare it away. They were right they did have a talking bird. But was it going to be any help?
