Journey to the Five Mountains Part Two

Part 2 of Journey to the Five Mountains

Jane stared round to see towers of soil but no plants or inhabitants anywhere. Looking back across the rocky, misty shore all she saw was the sky ship sadly floating away into the distance. Like a knife to the heart, the shock of looking up to see flying oak tree was amazing. Towering over Jane the large tree sunk further and further to the ground. In the nick of time a weed grasped on to the rough surface of the tree pulling it up again before it squished Jane.

Why aren’t the plants allowed to touch the ground? While Jane was figuring that out, Benjamin was busy building a sand castle with very weak sand and it kept toppling over every time he built one.

Smack!

Benjamin had run head first into a squishy and slimy liquid whereas Jane had bounced straight through, liquid seeping through the gaps of this odd structure.

As the dust slowly disappeared out of view the situation was easily discovered. The shining golden sun lunged into the sky creating the liquid to melt. Jane crept out, head to toe in juice and Benjamin rubbed his nose better. There was a whispering noise, strange and quiet. There was an animal with horns and a cat tail in the distance. The myth was true…
