Chapter 3- The Creature

…A single gold coin laying on a big, fluffy, maroon red cushion. He lifted it up to his face to get a good look at it, a net fell on him! He struggled and strained but it was no use. The net was too strong. He was stuck. Just then, a shadow came in front of the tower, blocking his view of the ever-fading dawn. Aaron thought the shadow might have been one of his crew, but he saw he was clearly wrong, as it definitely wasn’t human. He started sweating, then his fight or flight instinct kicked in. He put his fists up. “Listen you.” He yelled. “If you attack me, I have a whole crew to destroy you!”

“That will do nothing.” The shadowy figure hissed. I already killed half of them.” Aaron then remembered half his crew were gone! The figure started to step closer and closer the net Aaron was in. His heart thumped heavily as more and more sweat dripped down his face. In a flurry of panic, he whipped out his emergency pocket knife and cut himself free. He lunged at the creature but it jumped back into the sunlight. That was when Aaron got a good look at it. It had a cracked, ancient helmet and crooked, long fingers. Black, weird slime oozed from its skinny limbs as it’s dark, creepy aura shined around its weathered, rusted armour. In a panic, he flicked out the knife that got him out of this mess and stabbed the thing. It hissed and reeled forward towards Aaron but he ducked just in time, and called for help. First mate Noah ran in and shot a musket ball in the chest of the creature. It fainted. When it woke, it was in a small cell with Aaron guarding him. Aaron chuckled and turned around, staff in hand.
