Chapter 3: Victoria returnes
Rosalie hung on the battered drain pipe, her normal lighthearted spirit had faded. Leaving behind a hopeless soul in its place.
“Just give up Augurey, we can’t escape!” she sighed, slowly tugging on her friend’s hair. Augurey turned in shock, not believing what she had just heard, how dare Rosalie act like this!?
She stared at the little bat, after all they had done they can’t just sit back and give up!
“We can’t just give up! No, not now! Nothing comes from nothing Rosalie! You understand!?”
Augurey’s tone was angry, even though she tried to hide it, the flame of determination and hope burned in her eyes. Sighing, Rosalie accepted that Augurey wouldn’t stand for her behavior.
Outside, the golden wave of sunrise ruled the sky, welcoming the daytime like a harvest of light. Buildings and hills in the distance gleamed a brilliant glow but not everything on the inside was as pretty. After Augurey’s lecture of ‘not giving up’ and ‘not being so hopeless all the time,’ the tension had ever so slightly softened. ‘Tap tap’. A slow tapping on the cobweb infested window caught the attention of the Heroins inside. Outside, a figure stood on the terrain below. The figure had brown hair and big, black boots with green and black leg warmers. A checkered skirt and shirt with a sleeveless jumper was Victoria…
Victoria helped force the window open and into the light they went. Their skin reflecting in the sun, the girls realised they were at risk of being found. Soon they had found an old, worn down barn to hide in until nightfall. On the way Augurey and Rosalie filled Victoria in on what was happening so far.
“Ok so let me get this straight, We don’t have a map or any clues where the stone could be?” questioned Victoria.
“Well umm, yes? Sort of.” Rosalie answered, head down in despair. They had so many unanswered questions and so much left to do in so little time. Where was the stone? Where was Enzo? Why had he appeared at his mansion when they had been there? Was it all a trap? They did not know, but now was time to rest, little did they know what fate had in store for them…
