The Mystery Chapter 3
Astro sat patiently in the abandoned shed, facing something that wasn’t there, while Sophie foraged immensely for a path out of the abandoned house. She checked the dusty window, but it was too little, barely any light shone through , and shouting helplessly for assistance didn’t work. She tried to force the door with her hair clip, but nothing worked. Furiously, she gave her anger to Astro for not helping, “Instead of watching me like a miserable person, you might at least help me!” Unfortunately, Astro just sighed, saying there was no escape in or out. Sophie crossed her arms, tapping her foot impatiently and with anger.
As dimness fell, the shed became a dark shady room. Inside, shadows crept in the shed and soon the moon was the only thing they could see. Outside, in the night sky the moon cast it with hope and admiration. It gave a glimmer of light into the dark shed. Unexpectedly, Sophie heard a sound. After a second, a pair of eyes peered into the window.
A silent bark resolved the darkness and glowing into the dim night, it was their neighbor’s dog called Cooper. Cooper dropped a small escape key into Sophie’s hand. Using the key, Sophie attentively unlocked the dusty door. She and Astro went outside in the dark yet magical night, following Cooper across the safety lawn. There, Sophie lit up a fire while Astro explained their new discovery. They were free, but questions occurred: where is the ancient locket, and what happened to Ava George and her airship controls?
