The Island Of Betrayal…

On the islands of betrayal…

On the island of Medusa,

I witnessed the bloodshot slate of the self-assertive sky

as it turned into a whirlpool of anger and betrayal,

therefore, it scowled at me threatening

for me to make an exit.

On the island of Vulpes,

I heard the howl of the foxes as the sound waves

shot up my ears, which meant

the night-crawlers had been released.

On the island of Trahison,

I sniffed the smell of betrayal in the air

like hell throwing down its spears.

On the island of Destiny,

I confidently consumed the ripe taste of the

sweetest fruit on the entire island.

On the island of Ceniza,

the flaky, floating ash flew through the sky

like it was combining to make a bone-cruncher.

On the island of Vita,

I saw the cold hearts fade into scattered dust,

like a silent memory,

forgotten…

Hedgehog

Hedgehog

Hedgehog, hedgehog who made your eyes so intricate?

But your senses are astounding,

will they come to your knowledge?

Hedgehog, hedgehog, why are you the swamp-swimmer?

Might you be aware of the distance you can travel?

Do you get terribly tired of the stubbiness in your legs?

Hedgehog, hedgehog, why are you so bold to the intruders that interfere?

Whose spikes are like needles in one’s skin.

When exposed, will they come to your aid?

Hedgehog, hedgehog who completed you to be like a woodlouse?

And as heavy as a bag of flour,

may change the way people look at you?

Hedgehog, hedgehog why do you scurry out at night?

In the hour midnight, do you scamper through the streets?

Why do you dare to go at night instead of seeing places in daylight?

Hedgehog, hedgehog why do they call you the beetle-chewer or worm-kidnapper?

Wouldn’t you like to munch on a feast?

Could you, maybe, be a wild beast?

Hedgehog, hedgehog why, are there so many of you?

Are you called the group-runner?

Or do you like to not be alone?

Cat SWW

Cat I prowl through the sickening, sad roads.

I’m the scare in scary.

Some call me the the midnight-muncher or the rat-choker.

And I know why.

My iris shines like emeralds through the roads they wander. Like torches beaming.

Warning everyone I’m here.

My fur cloak bristling in the wind I settle down, near a local school.`

Where I pad to my hearts content.

I’ll be the night-howler of the town tonight.

I insist.

The Red Fox

The Red Fox

The Red Fox hunts
through the night,
stalking the sinister.

The midnight muncher’s
cold, barbaric amber iris,
stares into souls.

Raw as an onion,
the nose is as rough as
sandpaper but as shiny
as a diamond.

Snow tipped, alerted
ears ***** up.

Bristled and ready,
her whiskers are as wired
as golden thread .

The flame flickering coat
is like the sun
as she beautifully nestles down
for a nights sleep.

Chapter 3 the Echoing Emporuim Alexa SWW

It was the most beautiful thing Kya had ever seen! The place had everything she had imagined: the everlasting silence ; the seagulls crying out; a fish and chip shop still smelling sweet; the salty tang tickled her tongue ; and the banging that suddenly scared her as she looked to an abandoned trailer. Was this an adventure for today? Marty told her no. The sunset rose above her. Multicolours filled the sky. A cliff stood behind her and red roses clambered up the rocky peak . Surprisingly, Kya stepped in the transparent ocean, a fuzzy feeling sprouted in Kya’s stomach. It felt like freshly made silk from the tailors of Dale lane ,next to the town centre, where Kya did a Saturday job in the animal home. All rich people went to the best known tailor of Gloucestershire. Why wouldn’t they? “Wow!” said Kya , wondering how deep the sea was. She made his way up the over the soothing sand and splattered into the sea. The water was chest deep, and Kya loved deep water. Fish weaved through her feet and turtles surrounded her torso.” This is amazing,” Kya said, not realising what was about to come. Slick movements came towards her. At this moment, Kya didn’t feel very comfortable. Suddenly, all the creatures that were surrounding her swam away within a second. She turned in shock. I probably just made a sudden movement. Everything seemed normal again and nothing moved. Then she heard it.

The clouds darkened: and streaming bolt came piercing down in the middle of the biggest mountain out of the three. She stared… What just happening? Marty fluttered into a little cove. Kya came rushing in. It was covered in bedrock and was actually quite cosy.” I’m staying here,” Kya ushered, panting like a Golden Retriever. After preparing herself, she glared out into the ocean. Everything seemed normal again. She cured herself and lay down. The glossy sea glimmered in the sunset. The soft sand eased the broken seashells. Surprisingly, the mountain looked untouched. But something felt truly wrong.

She heard the saw it again. The sky grew dark. The sea turned into a sheet of charcoal. A dash of hooves came flying out. She knew she shouldn’t be here. Marty hopping on her shoulder, she turned and ran. Dodging the ancient rocks, sprinting across the sand and swooping onto the cliff.
It was then that he saw it: a transparent blue liquid ; midnight hooves ;and the mane of a water horse.
It had the power of weather Kya ran in the direction of the door he had entered through.

Where was the door? Kya was certain that it was five feet above the ground. The platform was still there, but where had the door gone? It was just sand that covered endless land. The ringing in her ears were gone. Until, she felt the water crawl up her back. ” Help!” Kya cried, falling to the ground.

Chapter 2 A disobeyed warning

Chapter 2 A Warning Disobeyed

“I am Jack Spirit, the owner of these sacred objects,” the man said, glaring Kya in the eye.
“Wow, that’s amazing,” replied Kya, embarrassed how she’d talked to him before he introduced himself.
” This is my owl from the northern artic, his name is Marty, do not touch him either,” he continued.
“You may , quietly, look around my shop but you must not touch my book of echo’s.” he clearly explained, and vanishing into the dusky air. Kya’s mouth gasped with shock!
“This room is no place for a little girl,” echoed a mysterious voice. Marty looked at Kya in disapproval.

Once the owner had left, she stared at the mini model of the pyramids all lined up in a rose red corner. Canons hung from the ceiling looking like it was going to fall into Kya’s head. Sand sprinkled out of a metal shoot. A mustard yellow carpet lay on the wooden planks. Marty’s claret coat caught Kya’s eye. But she was attracted to the book. Her head was daring her to at least touch it. Why was she not allowed to even look at it? Maybe another day. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe now.

She opened it. Kya just couldn’t stand the echo’s in her head. She opened the book and saw many little flaps of doors had just awoke from a great sleep. She touched one of them with brightly coloured shapes and slowly opened it. Kya’s face lit up. A golden gleam came bounding out, as Mr Spirits voice whispered a magical idea. Her mouth opened with amazement. Marty hooted like an alarm for Mr Spirit.

Without thinking, Kya flicked through looking for a empty door. Finally, she found one. The next thing Kya knew was she was whispering her greatest dream. Peace filled all over the page and her greatest thought was alive! She looked at what she had whispered. It was a beautiful seaside in Scotland were her Dad was put to rest. Kya had wanted to go there and it as finally going to happen. Marty landed her shoulder and stared down.

Kya closed the book and headed through one of the corridors which went on and on. Marty was still on her shoulder, his claret cape flowing in the breeze. The wind was brushing through Kya’s short brown hair. He flew off and landed in front of lilac door with a yellow, wooden knob with a blue flower on it. Sweat dripped down her for-head . She stood in front of the door and reached out and pulled down the knob. Kya stood amazed at what was in front of her eyes, her dreams.

She stepped through the door and found herself not in a room but in dream. It was identical to the page that she had spoken too. A salty tang arose in Kya’s mouth and the feeling of the waves were cresting in her stomach. Instead of a nervous butterflies, it was souring robins making her feel excited. Lanterns hung on the trees and reflected with a golden colour beaming through the water. This astonishment scolded her as she started to hum Sea Shanties. The waves overlapped Kya’s toes. Out in the distance was mountains, huge ones, the ones she had been dreaming of. As big as four elephants. This what she had always wanted. Peace.

Recipe for family – Alexa

Recipe for Family by Alexa SWW

Pluck at the feeling of thunder
roaring through my grandparents
conservatory windows like mirrors
echoing in the darkness and the
tingle of excitement sprouting in my stomach.

Explore the memory of
the Scottish sea, soothing the
buzzing questions in my mind
and only making me and my family
calm.

Stir my Daddy’s warm,
stretching arms reaching to wrap
around me after a long day at work
when I mix the mixture.

Divide the my satisfying diary
and continue writing, until all the pages
have run out like a fortune tellers ball not
working.

Decorate the scene of me and my
family, cuddled up and watching the telly,
use the memory like cradling a baby.

I would take my families wooden rosery beads,
waiting to be praised and cherished, and your
creation is complete.
