Riley retraced his steps, after a few minutes he was standing on the silky sand of the shore. He decided to ignore the voice so he went back to where he had been teleported. But, the canvas wasn’t there.
A strange glow came from the sea. He hesitantly walked to the cliff, looked down and gulped. The more he wanted to ignore it, the more it called to him. He noticed that the glowing was the canvas that he had painted on.
He had no choice but to dive into the icy depths of the ocean. Riley took several deep breaths, until he plucked up the courage to jump. He dived into the water only letting out small amounts of breath at a time.
Finally after plummeting to the bottom of the ocean he only just managed to swim towards the canvas. He was sucked back to the emporium. Amazingly he was in a perfectly dry corner and all his clothes and hair were dry!
Guilty, he walked back to the other shelfs and pretended to look.
“I see you have experienced my canvas of wonder, my child.” said Oliver Williams, still in his suit. “Uhhhh. Well yes I am sorry for disobeying you sir!” squeaked Riley. “Well it is closing time so come back soon.”
As Riley stood on the street, he looked behind him and the emporium was gone. Riley raced home as fast as he could to tell his dad but he wasn’t there. He figured he would be at the shop. He went to his room and wondered how that world was created.
A barn owl was perched on the window ledge and was trying its best to stay unseen. It could stay there as long as it wanted. It had all the time in the galaxy.
