The australian mist

I lay there in peace and slowly fall asleep

I devour mouse meat, purring like a baby drinking its milk.

I am a peace-maker, dream-taker.

I am a smile-inventor.

I watch and I think, am I a friend-maker?

I occupy Australia, silently in the distance.

My emerald eyes glistened in the moonlight.

While I flush my milk down, I feel in heaven

No one around.

I yearn for all the attention.

My ears stretch to its highest ,when I hear my friend’s voice.

the terrifying beast

The terrifying beast

Sun tanned, the terrifying tiger growls.

It’s stone heart beats

like a thunder cloud.

It’s fur is as silky as

a pillow.

It’s blood-licker

feast on its prey.

It’s nose laughs as it

hunts its prey.

It’s whiskers is as gaunt as

a hair strand.

The fiery tiger roars,

showing its injured long leg.

It’s shivering back purrs,

whilst roaring through the Jungle.

It stares,wonders and patiently stands

waiting for its family.

The triple threat

The triple threat

The triple threat is a poisonous type of insect which was found 10 years ago on a motorway in Andorra. It was spotted by someone called Miss Abdillahi. Ever since, scientists have been trying to find out what they eat and what their features are. Unluckily, for us is that they hurt humans. If you want to know what they do and look like. Read more to find out.

Appearance

The triple threat has the shape of everything because there is a device that makes it transform. Their features are : 3 poisonous antennas ; 3 window eyes ; venom wing ; healer wing ; 3 heads ; hidden blades ; tasers ; a tongue ; hooks to get people’s legs and eat it ; weird glass eyes ; worms that bite you and a robotic mouth. This insect is 20 centimeters long and weighs 500 grams. The way to spot them is the hooks that dangle off its tongue. Even if it doesn’t have a gill it can swim faster than a motorbike. Caution : these poisonous insects can be spotted anywhere , so always look when you walk.

What it does

Most of the world population think these insects are normally harmless and that the scientists have not told the truth but they couldn’t be more wrong. This insect could cut your toe off with one slice of the hidden knives, these hidden knives are dipped in poison. This would make you have pain you couldn’t bear, tiredness and then death. Additionally, many people say that this situation is worse than a dinosaur bite and you should alarm the ambulance immediately. If you ever come across this insect you have to run or if you are brave, trap the insect ( you would have to be careful).

Emporium discovery

Laila had always been adventurous and her father had always advised her that it would one day lead her into lots of trouble. One thunderous Thursday, she was running down Hilden Street when she found something weird about the Emporium. For once, the door was wide open so she carefully tip-toed inside…

Everywhere she saw, it was filled with astonishing things that she wanted to take home. She noticed a golden case that had a cute cat inside and its purr vibrated across the room like an echo in a deep, dark cave. A tiny lamp walked around the room, whilst it lit up. Lots of handmade glitter cups and perfect paintings around her body. On one desktop, there was a jar full of chocolates that sat welcoming. There was also a wardrobe full of china dolls, mugs that were handmade and ancient unicorn horns. Coloured snake scales reflecting off the dull roof and fish swarming around their gigantic tank . But what really attracted Laila was a big, dusty book. As she flicked the pages the words were jumping out and saying weird words. The pictures forming a word saying muggle should not be reading this.

“I see you’ve found my book of magic through the ages,” whispered a tiny voice from the curtains. Laila screamed, shut the book fastly and drifted her head upwards to look at the owner. It was an old woman whose eyes looked like emeralds. A fairy trailing behind him. It sliced its hand across its head, madly.

Chapter 4

Blocking out the ringing in her ears, Laila walked directly to where she was certain that the door was. There was nothing there, but there was a tiny arrow pointing at a coconut tree that was hidden by leaves. Its colour was not green, it was blue. It had a long midnight black trunk. She ran to the tree, she could barely notice what she was certain was the shape of the door that was missing.

Laila tip-toed, making sure that the man wasn’t following her. She cleared the leaves out of the way until she was able to touch the door. Her heart was beating faster than Usain Bolt’s record speed. Bravely, she yanked the door handle and kicked it harder than a rock. With a boom, the door blasted open, like a bullet coming out of a gun she shot through the door. Tired, she lay on the floor catching her breath. The door closed. As astonishing as it was, her clothes weren’t dirty. She returned to the Emporium but really none the smarter. What had just happened?

Quietly, she stepped back, carefully sneaked through the velvet door and tip-toed into the shop. Mr Rubeus Hagrid glared at her, “ Ah, I see you have returned to us. Did you enjoy it ?” Laila shook her head frantically, unsure of how she felt.

“The thing is,” Mr Rubeus Hagrid continued, “ you can be at many magical places but you must always be careful when going into a door in the emporium, let alone at least one you were warned about.” He placed the tiny silver coin that he was polishing on the desktop, flipped it and gave a grin.

Laila ran on the street and then, curious, wanting to explore lots more, turned around. But Mr Rubeus Hagrid and the Emporium had vanished. It had quite simply vanished as though it had never even existed. She felt the wind of magic and shivered.

Maybe tomorrow, she wondered to herself as she jogged home. Maybe tomorrow

What she didn’t realise was that she was being trailed by a snake fairy. It rested in a birdhouse that was outside of Laila’s house and watched her all night. The snake fairy shook its head and sighed. It had the whole entire time in the world.

Chapter 2 and 3

“ I am Rubeus Hagrid,” he eerily said from a distance, keeping his eyes focused on Laila until she played with her hands, frightened. “ You are in my charming shop. Do you love it?” Laila moved her mouth but nothing came out, so she sat down on a chair, quietly. “ I see you have met my book of magic through the ages. You may discover things in my shop. Whatever you do, DO NOT OPEN THE BOOK!”

Seconds later, Rubeus Hagrid turned his back and before Laila noticed, she vanished into thin air. With her mind blank, she ran towards the book and opened it, revealing lots of secrets. The pages were mysteries waiting to be solved. There was a cotton candy room, Archery field jungles, zoos, football pitch and lots more. On every page, there was a story awaiting.

Before she knew it, Laila was colouring across the book, scribbling a rainforest and inside of the rainforest was a house full of her desires.

“Follow me,” hissed the snake fairy. Laila flung the book shut and hypnotised followed it. A door appeared with the wind, so she tip-toed into it. She did not enter a room. She was in a rainforest and a snake hissed at her and she followed it until it stopped at a tree. I climbed the tree and saw a footpath towards a house but not just any house it was the one that she drew. She jumped down and ran toward the house.

Her mind twisted with fear and happiness, she reached her destination. She opened the door, it had everything she wanted : a PS5 sitting on the lounge sofa; a kitchen that cooked itself; a bedroom that had a comfy fire; there was a box full of money and gold; and a yorkshire pudding with gravy waiting to be eaten. “Hello,” echoed Laila, thinking that someone was there, but silence punched Laila in her face.

A couple of minutes later, she heard a scream. Looking back, she pushed the lounge room door open. It was that moment where she saw it: a black shadow casting over her; blood red eyes looking into her mind; and knife-like teeth shone in the darkness. There was no way that she could let her fear take over her body. Laila pushed the house door and ran faster than a cheetah, she launched herself where the door was. This time nothing was there. Only trees and animals growing bigger and bigger. Shadows casting faster than the clouds in the sky. “Come here, you rascal.” shrieked a voice behind her.

The enchanted treasures

If I were ordered

to create a treasure,

I would take:

The taste of

My favourite pizza waiting to be eaten,

A box of sweets

And a car full of chocolates.

The smell of

A witch’s bright,burning earwax,

My favourite dessert calling me whilst I eat

And burnt cake in the oven.

The sight of

A pretty, pink colour at sunset,

The cutest cat in the world

And a baby’s tiny feet.

The touch of

A thousand dollars raining down,

The tiniest baby in the world sitting on my lap

And the cold wind blowing me off my feet.

The sound of

A car honking loudly,

A motorcycle revving

And Zain being silent.

The mysterious doors

Go and open the emerald door,

maybe you’ll see a tree wrapping itself warmly like a blanket,

a set of pretty leaves

or a tin of peas with a sour stench.

Go and open the bumblebee door,

maybe you’ll see the sun at its highest point,

a banana sitting boredly and waiting to be eaten

or the queen bee stinging people painfully.

Go and open the midnight door,

maybe you’ll see horror lurking as silent as a spider,

pain striking right at your left arm

or divorce ripping rapidly at your heart.

Through the cherry door,

blood dripping from a doll’s mouth,

anger shouting louder than a tiger

hatred blowing through a haunted house.

Through the caramel door,

chocolate melting hotter than the sun,

Y5 and Y6 yearning for conkers.

Through the rosy door,

candy floss connecting through the air,

a flamingo dancing on one leg

tongues telling lots of lies.

Go and open the tangerine door,

maybe you’ll see a bowl of oranges being painted,

a basketball bouncing into the hoop

or a pumpkin staring into your soul.

When the sky falls chapter 1

Amir Ali hadn’t wanted to leave his family. He glared out of the 4th storey bedroom glass, ancient window, across miles of strictus, mud and lakes. He quickly dried up his precious tear whilst it wobbled to his pale cheek.

His first day was weeks away now, it was like a cloud it drifted and went poof out of his memories. The teachers were nice, gentle women. There were 5 teachers: Miss Cook,Mrs Khan,Mrs Booth,Miss Mohamed and Miss Green. The teachers quickly noticed that Amir was fidgety and unfocused.Sitting on the 2nd row of the school room, where the teachers could watch him. Amir made a moody face as he reread the alphabet. He kept all his anger in a metal cell in his mind. When the school alarm rang, he blasted out of the school like a rocket in space.

The days vanished like rain and Amir felt more comfortable now.He faded his days scribbling alphabets across his page, watching the chickens run as slow as a sloth and help tidy the bathroom.Outside, there is a nice rock wall and a farm that has crops and more.Inside, there is a scruffy and dark playroom and a tiny ,little uncomfortable living room.

Each afternoon,Amir hears a noise so loud like a drum that is bigger than a city. Each afternoon,Amir slyly watches through a broken window as Miss Cook,Mrs Khan,Mrs Booth,Miss Mohamed and Miss Green covertly wandered off into the mysterious woods. Each afternoon, Amir thinks about what they are upto … he didn’t wait long to figure out.One afternoon, Amir could not stand the puzzle any longer. He slipped his slippers on,sneaked out of bed and followed them. When he finally reached the woods,he heard a deep grunt, but not a bear’s grunt, a deeper and loader grunt. Watching through the bushes,he saw Miss Cook,Mrs Khan,Mrs Booth,Miss Mohamed and Miss Green feeding their secret…  KOALA.
