Secret Keepers

“Greetings harmless being, My name is Liona Whitlock ” she claimed, whilst raising her hand and waving it politely. “It’s been a few months now and I’m currently working at my Grandma Silvia’s new shop, in Huntingburg.”  Liona wanders around searching for Silvia. Moments later she recognises grandma’s new purple shirt and calls her with shock. “Nana, you’re supposed to be helping me at this hour! What are you doing?!” Liona helps Slivia cross the road and asks her what she was doing. “Liona darling follows me, this is important. You’re the chosen one.” They head off to the emporium and Grandma gives Liona an essay on why she should not touch the book.

Time runs by like a passing train, Silvia has gone to collect some groceries from the supermarket so she can make her world famous soup. Liona sighs “Should  I collect the book, I know that Granny will be upset. But I really want to know! What’s the deal with this book?”

A few seconds later, Liona swoops the book in one big go and shoves it in her backpack. “Hopefully nobody saw me, now let’s get out of here before I get caught!” She collects her fake club card that she made with her Granny’s old printer, and hurry’s out of there. In one swift move she unlocks the front door of her friend’s apartment “Sorry Raqqilaih but I have to stay here for a few days.” Liona dives into the foam mattress and absorbs the delightment.

“Hold on, Liona, how did you get my keys?” Raqqilaih questions with an empty mind.

“Oh, did you forget? You always leave the key under your welcome mat outside. So can I stay here?” Liona asks with a warm feeling of excitement.

“Why? Did you do something to make Silvia kick you out? If so, you are a troublemaker. Also yeah you can stay here. My mothers at work right now so I’m kind of lonely,”Riqqilaih answers with a worried grin on her face. Without words for Riqqilah’s actions of kindness she runs into an empty room, locks and bolts the door; with a heavy slam; sits on the floor and opens this mysterious book. Moments later, some kind of magic is controlling her, she can not help but start to draw, flashing lights of all kinds. Wonderful artefacts, all beautiful colours, street lights; city lights, flashing red, orange and green, Car’s speeding wild; It’s like a portal that’s…unbreakable. The only problem now is how do we hide this from Raqqilaih after all this is her apartment. “Oh my goodness, I’m in deep trouble now!” Without thinking she escapes out the window, forgetting that she closed the door shut! She can’t look back. She left everything behind her, her friend, her bag, but the only thing she didn’t leave is the book.

“I have to return this, immediately.” Liona runs past the streets and roads, only to be caught by a dead end.

Hours later, She’s been around the whole town.

“Let me just go back.” Liona says, feeling regretful of her actions. She climbs up the window only to see an innocent black cat. Liona follows behind it. It looks like it’s going into the portal.

“WAIT!” Liona exclaims, holding her hand out to rescue it.

“Liona, are you ok? You’ve been there for a while now. Oh, and my Mum brought us some crisps, let’s eat!” Riqqiliah stammers, but she is too late. Liona is in the portal. She accidentally closed the book, she is trapped. No escape!

Her heart was now throbbing with fear; veins popped out of her skin. Sudden panic gave her butterflies. A whole asylum of blood dripping red was formed;

“Master, she is the chosen one. The one you’ve been locating for years, she is now in your hands.” The black cat said whilst purring and cleaning himself.

Everything was different

“I thought I drew a city? Didn’t I?” Liona mumbled.

“Stupid child, you where a sleep for a hour or two. My  colleagues carried you to be in my presence today. We know black cats are your favourite animal, so we knew how to drag you here.

“Oplamal! The monster will soon arise, bring this girl to the dungeon, let’s test if she really is the guardian.” An unknown voice triggered Liona’s ear. Power took over her , and soon she was clashing to the ground with a great big thump. She woke up to red dripping blood, goblins and elves surrounding her.

“We were once like you! A human, but after they took us here it all went down,” Elf #2200 claims.

Heat was round her: boiling hot heat sizzled her blood; through the depths of the unknown pitch black shone through her innocent lives; soon her blood became cold, it was like -20˚ through her bones; spikes rose high out from the bottom; water poured out her eyes like a watering can being sprinkled all over you; sharp thorns like the devil, and spikes arising from the depths.

“ELVES! GOBLINS! And finally our leader, the black cat, is here.” All Liona could hear was an echo.

A crowd of applause surrounds Liona.

“Rules are simple, if you don’t successfully show your power or have fear against this monster you shall become an elf. If you are successful, power will be in your hands. You shall now be called Goddess Of Strength Liona. Good luck.” The black cat says as he approaches Liona, soon he pushes her into a temple. The mythical giant shines out of the darkness, and liona is  lost  for words

“Do not come a step closer!” And that was all they heard of Liona last…

The Fantasy

If I was summoned

To create a treasure,

I would take :

The sound of

A screech from a birds upper

mandible.

A purr through a cute cat’s faint

tongue.

The touch of

The pressure of the wind

Brushing through the lion’s mane.

The touch of

The pressure of the wind

Brushing through the lion’s mane.

A droplet of water falling on

The Sahara Desert.

The expansion of space

Glistening gravity,

The sight of

The moons light reflecting

over the earth.

A fairy flying through

The forest trees,

A trail through the corridor

Of the Queen’s palace.

Wander through a mystery these doors behold

Go and push through the crimson door,

And maybe you will see blood dripping red through your bathroom room shower curtain.

Or maybe a velvet cake sweet and delicious.

Open the arctic door

And maybe you may be in a deep ocean filled with slimy octopus.

Or maybe you may find a sweet fruit basket filled with all the blueberries you can eat.

Creak through the inky door

Maybe you maybe you will discover a smokey room

Filled with unknown ghosts,

Or maybe a dark cave filled with monsters waiting to have you for lunch.

Wonder through the orchid door,

Maybe you will be in a world of flaring shades of purple flowers

Or maybe feel the drip of your purple pen.

Go through the fire door

Maybe you will be in a room of flames

Charging to attack you

Or perhaps a room of tangy pumpkins.

My Magnificent Metaphors

The crystal-cave is

as precious  as the stars that glow in the luxurious sky.

like the world that rotates around us.

Glorious sky.

The soft edge is

as curved as the puffy duvet.

like the pillow were I lie

Comfy boarder.

The night-sky is

as splendid as the starry sky.

Spontaneous stars.

The unknown mystery  is

as spine-chilling as the captain-bad guy.

like the unquestionable robbery

Blood curling case.

The piles of work is

as nerve racking as  losing a video game.

like losing a final exam.

Horrifying work.

A letter to my beautiful mam (evacuee letter)

Dear Ma,

Thanks for the soup, it kept me warm on my long journey. I sat staring at the train window in complete upset. I was bored and all I had was my teddy bear. What felt like decades later, we finally came to a halt. It was my first time being separated from you and pa, and I felt like the world would come to an end.The weather back here is dark and gloomy, but the children here are just as bad. Adults kept on gathering around like a circus, children coming and going like returning a bought item. I was the last out of the bunch. All hope was lost, as I clutched onto my teddy bear crying for help and an unexpected hand grabbed me. A tall, thin lady who collects me gave me a mischievous grin.

She lives in a mossy old cottage, with a broken gate. House is shattered from the outside but on the inside it is fit for a king. At first she was really kind but at this rate I am planning an escape route. Her wicked heart gives no shame. She trapped me inside her fragile house making me look as if I’m a maid. She tells her friends that I’m just as foolish as a goat, her unpleasant smile gives the world a shock.

I like my new home, but I’m the one who mops, sweeps the floors and wipes the dinner table. Oh ma I wish you were here to comfort me, please spare my broken heart. The cottage is old and beaten, the floor is rusty and the plates are shattered.

The best thing on this unpleasant journey was getting to write this letter to you.

The village I live in is appalling. Looks good when you first arrive but as soon as  you live its crime to crime. St Fagans is the place I stay. I prefer my home town  because its more fun,  but not with the war that’s happening.

My school is calm but strict .The girls have to wear long pleated dresses with buttons, whilst the males have to wear button up t-shirts and a long pair of pants/shorts. Today we learned about fractions and decimal numbers. Our head of form Alyza Mohammad is very kind, and also my best friend. We have a small playground. Our lessons are swimming,   PE, history, math, english, french, spanish, latin and geography.

Thank you for reading my letter, I hope you enjoy stay safe! And send my regards to Pa

Lots of love from your dearest child,

From: Jayne

A mysterious story about Jennifer Mclorren

Jennifer McLorren had been trapped in war; it’s her time to escape the misery. Streets have been crowded with children moving from afar. She had never separated from her family and felt miserable about the attention she recieves nowadays. As she would glare out of her  window her roommates would pull her hair and stare in disgust. Across the barriers of the dreadful school, wind and rain would rule the sky pouring droplets of water. Her father was in Winders Professions located in London, She didn’t like to think of him much because of the trauma.

Jennifer hasn’t always been the type for learning,as soon as she came to her school she got called a “lacking peasant” by a girl named Clora Brown. The form teacher Mr Racksmith was very understanding; he would tell the students not to stress during exams that we tried and he wouldn’t punish them. Ladies are forced to wear long silk dresses and tie their hair before classes and males have to wear pants and a button up t-shirt. We are given separate classes between the boys and girls. Head of form Lyla Deensworth is a very kind person; she is always there to comfort us . She treats us like we’re her children. Milberton seems like a nice person. I have no friends and am planning on approaching her. Torrie, Racheal, Salya and Clora. They are the bullies they roam the halls torturing 6-7th students.

Late at night when the other girls were sleeping, Jennifer approached the window staring at the stars in the beautiful night sky. She heard a fast, but gentle noise coming from behind her. As she tip-toed downstairs she saw a tall figure in a long cloak. She just knew that eerie activities were going on, she hid behind a box of crates trying her best to hold her breath. Not making a noise she peeked out of one of the holes from the wooden crate the figure was holding a candle. Jennifer could feel her soul drifting away as she shut her eyes hoping to be free, the figure went rushing by…nowhere to be seen.

Jennifer knew she had to follow.Inside it was cold the radiator suddenly stopped. She creaked past the intruder alarm, tight ended her dressing gown and rushed through the front door and let the wind guide her through the dark. Suddenly she saw the light of the candle, running faster than the wolf in a forest outside its frosty and cool. She clutched onto herself until she had sighted the figure. It was still as a statue she pulled down the hood and to her horror it was Mr Racksmith, he turned facing her. Jennifer could feel her heart pounding faster than a bomb exploding her face sank deep in fright. A dark long head appeared from the darkness.“J-Jennifer…You should have never followed me…Run back to the dorm and don’t repeat a word of this trust me you will regret it. NOW!”

Extraordinary Adventure

I stood in a world of deafening voices,

Singing praises, practicing perfectly enhancing their inner soul.

I stood in a room of dancing waves, swishing from side to side,

parading their moves and surfing on top of the ocean.

I stood in a room of cavemen

As fearless as the thunder strikes, hunting for a feast.

I stood in a room of sun-rays

Poking icicles charging for attack.

I stood in a room of camouflage,

like a military boss, holding the guards to a halt

I stood in a room of bright colors

And held out my secret door handle to unleash the mystery box.

I stood in a room of silence calmly wishing,

Hoping it’ll never end.

Aphenix and Jennifer

Jennifier ignores Mr Racksmith. The creature appeared out of the darkness. It had sharp claws, sharp enough to pierce your soft skin, its eyes as glorious as the setting sun, staring deeply into your innocent eyes. Its roar called dozens of people in seconds. It is a furry creature with big blooming teeth bigger than the candle Professor was holding. The life of Jennifer was frozen in fright. She would have never thought of a creature like that to be up to  Mr Racksmith. Its ears were pointed, digging deep into the tree above it. Faster than a cheetah it spun around her. Birds in the tree fly away in disbelief of this mythical creature. Jennifier was only a child; the creature sent her horrified, shivers darted down her spine. She was really frightened about what would have happened if she didn’t watch her actions.

“Well I can’t keep it a secret anymore, but don’t repeat a single word of this.” Mr Racksmith sighed in fear.

His name is Aphenix. Long time ago he lived a normal human life, the God Propen,Byapo, Chrpsu and Lpaq were very powerful. He was very selfish and hated children, especially his little sister, who is now the God Amino. He would punish innocent people. Putting them to death. He tortured his sister and thew her down a well, she was there for 100 days and 99 nights. Until, one day in the temple everything changed, he threw his sister’s ashes at the picture of Propen, and it began to change. The Gods give Amino power of a God. To take revenge on Aphenix. She transformed him into a mythical endangered creature, and faced the consequences as he grew older. He raced through the woods and Mr Racksmith caught him and decided to guide him. He built a shelter in the woods to keep him safe, and now Mr Racksmith comes every night to spend time with the creature.

“And just like that, the whole story was explained.” Mr Racksmith mumbled and turned to his left. “ But remember, don’t repeat a single word.”

After that day, Jennifer would sneak everyday and every night to the place where Aphenix was hiding. She knew that if Mr Racksmith found her out of the dormity he would tell Mrs Graling who’s their new headmistress. She was strict and would wack people with a cane. On the other hand, Jennifer admires Aphenix. Whenever she is upset she would go straight to him and give him a big hug. Aphenix liked it when Jennifer would rub his tummy and take him out on walks through the forest. Until one night when Jennifer was looking up at the astonishing sky Mrs Grayling caught her awake. She wacked her and told her that she should go to bed, or face the consequences in the morning. That night she was afraid of what Aphenix would think, leaving him in the cold to shiver in the abandoned woods.

“Ughhh I should have never come to this place!” Jennifer uttered, balling her eyes out.

Later that night in the dark of night she packed her bags, tip-toed downstairs and scurried  to the very forest to spend time with her beloved Aphenix.

“I thought you would leave me,” Aphenix roared.

“I would never, in fact I came to stay with you!

“I forgive you but…belly rub?” Aphenix said with a great grin on his face tilting his head.

Secrets of the Mallamader legends

Fear surrounds me, I’m beginning to get ready to go. Then I catch a glimpse of a shiny glittery egg shiver for a second…Then  time is coming it’s beginning to hatch. We observe the glittery gemstone eyed creature but It seems to stay silent .”Don’t  fear us! We don’t bite.’’ I say stroking its satisfying skin. The mader rejects the stroke. He’s taking his time, its sparkly skin shivers down its spine and breathes the fresh air through its cracks  to calm itself down. We carefully reach our hand to unlock the cage but a big slimy creature stops us to protect its egg but It gives mercy and and ches on grass .Outside,I can admire the maders shiny- slimy skin. The cowamanders “MooOoooO” is as wild as the a snake slither down the frozen horizon. As the mader says distracted by its grass and manders away.

Outside, I inhale the fresh air and look at Mia in relief. Inside, the cowamander munches on grass while it covers its valuable egg. Alyza Jenkins is putting out her coffee maker and brewing a hot cup of coffee, as she spots us through the window she gives a pleasant grin and waves hello. As we stroll down the sandy beach Mr Parker is opening the blinds and carefully putting his flowers in place and smiling at us. We begin to walk up to Mr big benjamin, he’s scurrying up the stairs preparing dishes whilst he flicks the “ Closed” sign. As soon as he notices us he gives a calming smile and waves hello.

I run around the corner to the  front door and open it in one swift move. Inside the medical center I see children awake begging for food and chanting “We want food!” As  I scurry to the kitchen, my head starts to hurt. I can’t stop thinking, all that’s on my mind is that mallamader, so it is true.. The mallamander, legends and aren’t fake! Should I warn the city? Or should I go back to try and defeat the mallamander?

All I hear from Mia nowadays is “ Hey I’m going out, to try catch the mallamader!” She’s brought plenty of books with piles of information. Ancient history says that this “ mallamander” is extinct but that was written in 108AD and many people have claimed that they have been caught by the mallamander and people have been drowned by it.. They say whoever survives from this dangerous creature is either immoral or lucky…
