How to look after a baby snow unicorn

Have you just found a baby snow unicorn laying in the middle of the street? Are you wondering how your going to take good care of the glamorous and precious creature. If you say yes to that then read the instructions below to see how you can.

What you need

Snow and ice everywhere so that your snow unicorn won’t defrost. Also you will need water so that it wont dehydrate and has good hygiene. A big, cold and soft blanket so it can get a good night sleep without getting to hot. When your giving your baby snow unicorn a treat make sure it’s icicles. You will need a Ice cold bed for it to sleep.

What to do:

First, create an enclosed area with air conditioners so it’s not to warm.

Next, have a cold and comfy blanket so it can be comfy whilst sleeping with a little bit of shade.

Also, you will need food and water in the enclosed space so they don’t dehydrate or starve.

After that, walk your baby unicorn daily so it’s not shy when they’re an adult.

Later on, go into their room you need to nourish and entertain your unicorn.

Finally, lay your unicorn in a small bed with their blanket so it can sleep.

Although snow unicorns are great pets you will have to be cautious when it’s older since it might try to attack you ; so you might have to release them into the wild. They are most likely to outgrow their room so you might have to make there room bigger

Chapter 1 – The Leaving

The three rabbits Richard, Rebbecca and Peter, left home so they can be safe from the Gorm. Their safety journey would take about two weeks ; so they decided to pack weapons, food, clothes and a map so they don’t get lost. Peter, who is the oldest out of them, decided to lead Rebbecca and Richard to the safe area.

After that, they set off and left their house for the safety journey.

“ We have to go into the dark and gloomy tunnel now to get there,” said Peter.

“ Why, though it’s way too dark and it’s way too far” said Richard.

Richard and Rebbecca started to feel a bit homesick because they haven’t been home for days. Peter also started to get worried since the Gorm might be following them.

A few days later, they got out of the tunnel and ended up in an abandoned forest.
“ This could be are safe spot” said  Rebbecca.

“ It can but we’ll have to move after a bit” said Peter.

It was late at night so they all decided to get to sleep because they were tired. They all woken up by the Gorm because of a noise he made.

Will they be safe? Or will the Gorm capture them?

Chapter 2 – Dark mouth

The three rabbits woke up and decided to start packing up because of the noise they heard. Peter looked on their map and chose to go to Darkmouth so they could be safe just incase the noise was the Gorm. The weather wasn’t looking the best since it was all dull and rainy.

After they ended up in Darkmouth by using the boats ; they started to unpack all of their stuff. It was all snowy at the mountains but it was pitch black as it was 10 pm in Darkmouth, so they started to sleep. When it was the morning it was all bright and still snowy. You could see all the little specks of snow from how bright it was.

Suddenly, Peter and Richard started to get anxious and nervous. Whilst Rebbecca was there wanting to buy some more supplies.

“Can we quickly go and buy some supplies?”. said Rebbecca.

“Yeah I guess”. replied Richard and Peter.

They went to the nearest warehouse to their new hut. When they finished buying the supplies Peter set the supplies up.

The Gorm might be here because of these crows and everyone disappeared

Sharkmander continued…

Chapter 4

I’m ready to run but there is only the dead end of the cave. The grey egg glows as I realise there are dark spots scattered around it. But we’re stuck!  The ex-employee was trying to calm me down with a soft voice and the Sharkmander.

The Sharkmander pauses and tilts its head to one side. Since we weren’t going to harm her egg we were about to say until we held out our hands to show we weren’t going to threaten her. It seems to be working since the Sharkmander was lowering itself. It’s working! The former employee was talking to the Sharkmander and it worked.

“We’re leaving now,” we both say calmly, whilst walking past the Sharkmander. If we make one wrong step it would stab us with it’s sharp thins, that our eyes can only just recognise the sharpest point. But we made it past safely.

Outside, I take a few deep breaths knowing we’re safe. Inside, we hear the Sharkmander waddle back to its nest to calm her and warm up her precious egg.

The fog was slowly clearing. The bright moon shines at the beach with star studs drifting in the dark, sky. We walk back to the office and talk. No one must find that circus. No one must walk in and find the Sharkmander and her precious egg. The retired employee kept rapidly telling me his ideas. Like trying to make people think the circus is haunted and abandoned with clowns that could kill you in a matter of seconds. I listen as he speaks at a five mph pace

By the time we are near the middle of town, the sun was still shining in the dark ocean mouth. Jeff-went-Unlucky was pulling a few deckchairs out at the beach thinking it was a lovely day to celebrate Chads Ice cream Galores opening. We start setting off to go back to Gumdrops Galore and then the traffic starts getting hectic.

I search for the keys in a hurry and grab the door heavily. Inside, it’s warm and relaxing. When I sit in my office I wonder if the Sharkmanders egg will hatch safely.

Outside, The old employee wanders to look at our famous Gumdrop Galore painting. She points to her favourite bit and I sit there wondering what my favourite bit should be.

All day, the ex-employee sticks his nose all into the new stuff that wasn’t here when he was. Until he finds an old recipe written in 1907. Later that night I couldn’t stop thinking about the recipe and who wrote it because this business opened in 1913.

Sharkamander continued

Five days later and we are back in the office room. we sit patiently enjoying some Custard Creams, the retired employees favourite biscuits. Outside, the storm returned but with misty fog that’s smothering the whole town. Inside, we are laying down on a sofa near the fireplace, listening to the cracks. However, the former employee knows where it lives.

It turns out that he’s been outside in the freezing cold for hours, going up and down the pier. he claims to of seen footprints that looked like the sharkamanders, also like the ones we saw last week.

I lock up Gumdrops Galore and make sure that all the windows are closed, and the light switches are off before we set off. Whilst wearing my puffa jacket, the mist was swirling across the promenade. We follow the curve on the way to the beach until we reach reach the cliffs. ; since it’s very dangerous to go further. We carefully make our way to the beach, with the mist covering everywhere.

I couldn’t believe him when he said he saw the footprints, but they were very clear. There are five sets of prints, two leading back into the dark mouth of the ocean, the others are leading into the town. Whilst pressing on a flashlight, I said ” Come on let’s follow the other footprints” . We both agree and set off.

When they reach the end of the footprints they end up in an abandoned circus. My heart thuds as we go further inside. Just as i’m hoping, that there’s nothing inside the old employee finds a nest in a little alcove with a glowing, grey egg. The Sharkamander has an egg.

in that moment, I feel a stab of guilt, whilst being worried another ones coming soon. “We shouldn’t be here” trembled my voice, whilst scattering my feet back to the beach. But the entrance is covered with darkness. With the small flashlight we carried, we saw  small movements with noises like the Sharkamander. The flashlight starts working more. There it is the Sharkamander in a pouncing position.

Sharkmander

Chapter 2

I sit, waiting patiently for abit before I ask, “What did you see?”. Outside I heard the wind howling with the sprinkling rain ; it was the beginning of a bad storm. I had an idea of her claiming to have seen the Sharkamander.

Thirty minutes later, we are outside in the darkness, retracing footsteps. I knew we should’ve stayed inside my little office room. This old employee was the bossiest person I’ve met. The wind started pushing forwards, if it didn’t we would’ve got blown off our feet.

We pass the Rainbow Fish Bar, Miller’s ice cream parlour and Mrs Butcher’s Bucket and spade shop. All bordered up on the extreme storm with little cars parked.

The retired employee pulls me closer to the pier and there they are, the massive footprints. A few minutes, they heard a strange noise from under the pier. “What was that noise?” I asked. “ I don’t know” said the retired employee, ducking behind a pole.

Barely daring to breathe, we slid open a window in a Fish and Chips shop and climb inside. At that moment, the wind from the storm blasted the door shut so the glass shattered.

Outside, lightning tears open the sky. Inside, the sudden flash was letting us get a short glimpse of the Sharkmander. The sharkmander leaps, in the rush of air to the shop. There it was with its greedy, dark eyes with its growling teeth…

The attack

Prologue

You’ve probably been to Wonder-On-Sea. In the summer, you probably dug sandcastles and sprinted into the waves which were warm, with family. Splashed into the sea whilst letting your dad rest. This is the place you would eat Ice-cream ; it’s that place in the summer. When your Nan and Grandad were laying on the deckchairs…

But in Winter it’s a whole different story. You probably felt the high winds flowing through the sea. The sandcastles would turn into mudcastles. You should try being there when the dark and gloomy fog drifts through the town because barely any locals visit the beach then ; most of them say they have a very good reason.

Chapter 1

My name is Tootsie Kat and i work in the nearest sweet shop to Wonder-On-sea (near the magnificent pier). Most people call me Toots I am the main worker in Gumdrops Galore. I make almost every delicious sweet that we sell. Someone once told me that it must be a bad job but it isn’t because it’s fun and enjoyable you also get paid well for what you do. Sometimes I sleep in the little room so I won’t be late for the next day.

An old employee that retired years ago  knocked on the door wanting me to ‘let him in!’. I didn’t know what to do because it was 1 am and the shop was closed. I was so hotI slipped a window open and there he was climbing through the window. He stares at me then asks me to hide him whilst he sleeps. ‘’ Hide me!’’

Before I resume with what happens next, there is one story about this town that I’ll tell you. It happened awhile ago that only one person remembers the date and only a little detail. The local Legend says that it was Violet Parma getting attacked near Mrs Fossil’s shop. The little detail he remembers is that it was a dark and gloomy day. The detail of the attack is that she got grabbed by her shirt and then slamdunked to the floor by a strange shark thats named sharkamander.

Some say that the creature must have been in pain or searching for food. As  it was growling as loud as possible. Most  say his attack is always at midnight.

‘Why do you need to hide?’ I hiss back at him. “What’s the matter?”

“I’ve seen it.” he says, “Look sharp-draw the curtains!”

sharkmander in danger

Sharkmander in Danger

The sharkmander is a variety of mammal, closely related to the malamander that lives in the area Eerie-on-Sea. Unlike the malamander, the sharkmander has extremely sharp fins so that it can stab its prey.

Sharkmanders are easy to identify. They have teeth like razors and eyes that can see up to 2 miles (especially in the dark). The sharkmander is able to camouflage in coral so that it can hunt its prey. If they seek threat they get their fins ready in action and hide.

These creatures live in dark, deep blue oceans, and they try to stay as far away from humans as possible ; because of this they’re not seen by humans often. If anyone approaches them they will dive deep in the ocean and hide.

It is  considerable that the sharkmander is under threat. The society protection of sharkmanders is carrying out a campaign to inform the public about these wonderful creatures and to argue for them to be made a protected species. If you would like to contribute to our campaign, please sign the petition on https://www.savesharkmanders.kay.co.uk  or call 07930 695330.

Brandon days of the week

On Monday, I saw a hidden Brandon rock,

it looked mysterious and hidden,

its glistening shine waved at me.

On Tuesday, I walked to High-lodge,

I was with my sister and abandoned her with our parents to go on Go Ape and had been amused as it was so fun.

On Wednesday, I saw a Muntjac,

Jumping through the forest trying to hide from the people having a walk through the shimmering forest as the sun was glimmering down.

On Thursday, I touched the Flint House,

I could feel the bumpiness and the hardness of the rock hard flints, they were thousands of years old (probably the same age as my nan acts)

On Friday, I smelt Fish and Chips,

Coming from the sea-star Fish and Chips shop the lovely smell drifted into my mouth that made me want some.

On Saturday, I heard the tractors,

they were going across the fields getting the crops they needed to get, then some came down the road trying to get to their destination as fast as they could.

On Sunday, I visited Mr G’s to have some fun,

when I was there I rolled  the bowling ball and it was swaying across the surface.

The adventure

Chapter 1 – The Leaving

It was late at night so they all decided to get to sleep because they were tired. They all woken up by the Gorm because of a noise he made.

Will they be safe? Or will the Gorm capture them?

Chapter 2 – Darkmouth

The three rabbits woke up and decided to start packing up because of the noise they heard. Peter looked on their map and chose to go to Darkmouth so they could be safe just incase the noise was the Gorm. The weather wasn’t looking the best since it was all dull and rainy.

They went to the nearest warehouse to their new hut. When they finished buying the supplies Peter set the supplies up.

The Gorm might be here because of these crows and everyone disappeared

Chapter 3 – Trouble

Peter, Richard and Rebbecca started to run away to a different location ; so they looked on their map and saw that the closest location was The Giant’s Footprint. They started to leave and realised they were really close to the border that let them in The Giant’s Footprint. When they got to The Giant’s Footprint some strange things started to happen. First they see some shadows on a wall but when they look around there’s nothing causing the shadow. Rebbecca had a thought that it was a shadow of the Gorm because of the size and shape.

“ I think it was a shadow of the Gorm because of the shape it had.” said Rebbecca.

So she ran away and Peter and Richard followed her.

When Peter and Richard caught up to Rebbecca they started to travel more and ended up in a location called Steamland. A few minutes later, they wanted to be safe so they wanted to hide somewhere.

“Should we hide in a hut?” asked Richard.

“We might as well” replied Peter.

So Rebbecca agreed with them. When they found a hut they asked the owner to see if they could stay there.

“Excuse me, is it ok if we sleep and stay in your hut for a while?” asked Peter.

Since the owner was friends with the Gorm, he agreed. They started to get sleep. Peter randomly woke up and heard the owner on call with the Gorm.

“I’ve got 3 of the rabbits.”

So Peter woke the other Rabbits up and they snuck out not knowing the Gorm was coming to the hut.

They managed to sneak out of the hut. A few minutes after they thought they were safe until… the Gorm creeps behind them. It was in the middle of a forest and he started to talk about the Gorm’s lare. They all tried to get out of his hands but failed. He ended up locking them in his lare…

Chapter 4 – Home Arrival

The Gorm had brought them to his decayed and dank prison for rabbits. The smell was all rank and mouldy, when you looked at the walls you would think that it’s not been cleaned for years. The massive, rotten wall was as rotten as my nans teeth. Peter, who was planning to lead them out of the prison, slipped over the bananas that fell off the ceiling.

Peter was thinking of an escape plan to get back home. When he told the other rabbits they came up with an idea but failed.

They came up with a different plan and succeeded.

They escaped by getting Rebbecca to distract the guards whilst Peter was drilling a massive hole with Richard.

“ Ok so Rebbecca you distract the guards” whispered Peter.

“ Richard you can drill the hole with me.” said Peter

“Ok i’ll start now” replied Rebbecca and Richard.

When they finished they wasted no time and ran out.

They started to run back home to see their family.

A few hours after they arrived home. “MUM MUM we’re back!!!” yelled Rebbecca, Richard and Peter, Their mum came running down the stairs with a big smile.

Will their mum ask what happened?
